Blake with Big Country Foundation Repair came out to inspect my foundation after I noticed cracking on the cement porches all around the house. I was really concerned because the home had previous foundation work (piers installed all around) done by an unknown company before I bought it. I was terrified we were looking at a major, expensive foundation issue.Blake thoroughly checked everything — he leveled the house and took detailed elevation measurements. He was very honest and straightforward, explaining that the cracks in the concrete porches were superficial and not related to the structural integrity of the foundation.What could have been a huge financial blow turned out to be nothing serious. He reassured me that everything is fine and no repairs are needed. I really appreciated that he didn’t try to sell me any unnecessary work. Blake is a trustworthy and honest professional.If you need foundation work or even just a peace-of-mind inspection, I highly recommend Blake and Big Country Foundation Repair!
Highly recommend! We are getting ready to list our house and our realtor suggested we get the foundation checked. I called and spoke with Blake, and we scheduled an appointment. Blake and Rick were punctual, friendly and professional. I was relieved to know everything was okay and nothing needed to be done. The honestly and integrity was definitely appreciated! I will absolutely call Blake if I have any foundation issues!
I very seldom do reviews but feel that I must in this case. Honestly, I can't adequately describe how pleased I am with quality and dedication to service that Big Country Foundation put into my project. Blake, Rick, Jack, and the entire crew went above and beyond my expectations ..... And for sure after reading the posted reviews about this company ..... I did have high expectations. Let me first say that right from the get go..... when I first contacted Big Country Foundation, there was never even the slightest pressure from Blake, (the owner) for me to sign a contract. The price was reasonable and actually much less than I had expected. Even though due to some unexpected, non foreseeable complications the job took a few days longer than expected, they never even hinted at changing the price nor did they try to take any shortcuts to get back any lost or extra time. In closing my review, I will say that I had used another company to level another house about 15 years back. That house was less than 1/8 mile from this job. I feel like I got better service, better results and all at a better price with Blake and Big Country Foundation than I did with the other company. The other company was one of the big hitters of foundation leveling in Texas. I won't mention them by name but I hired them out of the Metroplex and their name starts with the letter O. Also their spokesman was the greatest pitcher to ever wear a Texas Rangers and a Houston Astros jersey. Don't get me wrong, the other company was no slouch and they did a good job, but I'd take Big Country Foundation over them any day.
My foundation was in need of some repair, even after we had hired another company previously to fix our issues. I did a google search and found Big Country. We sent a request, we had a response with in less than an hour on a Sunday! Rick came over a few days later, and assessed our issues. He was able to offer us a solution that was affordable, and he and his amazing crew was able to fix up what the other company was unsuccessful in. (The other company was not a local Abilene company, it was from north Texas) BC was professional, didn’t leave any mess behind, even when they were digging up the dirt it was very organized piles! They had the job done in just a few days, really impressive work these guys did! I wish we had originally found Big Country. Please learn from our mistake stay local and hire Big Country for your foundation needs! They’re really really great!
Blake Bolton and crew did an amazing job on our foundation repair on our 1925 home. I was very impressed with the work crew’s work ethics. They explained each process and cleanup was done as job progressed. They were on time and on task each day. The original quote was what we were billed despite 2 additional days of work by 4-5 personnel.This company is top notch and shout out to Thomas and Doug for their excellent work and customer service. I don’t usually write reviews but this experience certainly warrants a positive review.I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to someone needing their services.5 stars to the company and the workers! ??
