I have worked with J&A twice. Last summer Joe inspected my chimney and wood stove. He could have told me anything about the chimney and I would have been none the wiser, especially about whether it needed to be cleaned of creosote. But he said it looked great and even complemented the flashing job done by my roofing contractor.I called on them again this spring for a retaining wall. Joe gave me a good quote and steered me from spending more money than I could afford. He worked very well with our excavation contractor. And he and his team worked very hard in hot weather to build a beautiful pair of 7-by-15-foot walls in just two days. So far I am really happy with the work they have done and I will call on them again.
Aaron, Joey & crew are highly skilled, reliable, honest & transparent. I felt compelled to write a review after reading a few of the negatives. Personally Aaron came out to look at our aging chimney that has likely not been touched since our home was built over 30 years ago. He came out, climbed on the roof inspected all areas & went over in detail what options we have to fix/update/upgrade the chimney. This was not a paid estimate he came & gave us honest & fair solutions on his own time. I see a review here about the problem not being solved & I have to be honest, Aaron could not have been more transparent about all the options & all the costs & the cheaper solutions for our budget followed by the truth of not being fully confident that down the line it likely would need a more costly repair to fully elevate the issues. We have decided to wait on repair to fix it the right way because saving money now inevitably leads to eventually needing to repair the right way down the road. I feel as though given our own experience I do not even slightly agree that on other calls & jobs this business has not provided the same respect. While I understand how frustrating it could be to have spent money & having issues still be there it likely was entirely this particular customer’s preference to go the cheaper route in hopes it would make a difference. However if your conversation went anything like ours which I’m confident it did, they were likely very transparent with you on this issue as well. Joey & Aaron will be the first call when we are in a financial position to do the job the correct way. Also I’ve physically seen some of the work done in local areas by J&A & crew & I will leave it at IMPRESSIVE. Highly recommend this company & look forward to their future work at our home.
Joe was great to deal with. He worked on my chimney this past fall and everything went great. I had some brick that needed to be replaced and they got it done quickly. I highly recommend these guys if you need work done on your chimney.
Thank you to the crew of J&A for the great work. Installed a stainless steel liner and rebuilt the chimney. Everything was seamless from the estimate to getting it quickly scheduled. The crew is very polite and kind, respectful of the property and clean up well after the job. They get extra points from me as well since they took the time to be sweet to my dogs and make them comfortable while they were here working.
