I initially hired this company based on their proposal, which clearly outlined their plan to create a solution to prevent water from draining into my basement. Unfortunately, the outcome was far from what was promised. As seen in the attached photos, the work performed was subpar, leaving behind a significant mess. Despite Kasey addressing some of the issues on-site and requesting corrections, the repairs resulted in multiple color variations due to the need for additional cement.

Additionally, I had asked them to resurface the area around my pool. However, this work was not covered under warranty, and within just a week of rainfall, the resurfacing began to chip away, exposing the poor quality of the job. To make matters worse, they covered the pool anchors with concrete and spilled concrete down inside the ladder holes, causing further damage.

Even more concerning was the pitch they created to divert water away from my house—it ended up making the flooding problem worse. The workers also spent four hours sitting idle in my yard before Kasey arrived with the necessary supplies, and when the job was finished, they left a mess behind and took items that weren’t theirs.

When I showed them videos of the flooding just two days after the work was completed, their solution was to offer to install a drain at an additional cost. While I do appreciate their willingness to resolve the issue, I could not trust them to tear up the concrete between my house and pool after the poor work they had already done. As a result, I filed a complaint with MHIC and retained legal counsel.

I strongly recommend doing thorough research before hiring this company. Several of their positive reviews seem suspicious, with many of them being from clients with only a single review or from out-of-state locations, which raises questions about their legitimacy

Maxwell and his team were professional, prompt with answers to my questions, and extremely fair with pricing (best out of several quotes!). Best of all, my driveway extension was exactly what I wanted. If you are on the search for a concrete company, I highly recommend using Chesapeake Concrete Solutions. Will not disappoint!

As you’ll be able to see from the many pictures that I have posted here, my wife and I love the services that Max and his Chesapeake Concrete Solutions team have provided. We first hired Max and his team to add a driveway to our rental property as it was just a bare yard before. Max’s team did an amazing job start to finish on this project. From meeting us and planning to scheduling and the work that was accomplished (all under a week). We were so satisfied with Chesapeake Concrete Solutions work that we reached back out to Max for an estimate on having our concrete patio dug up and redone as well as expanded to the end of the house. Again, an amazing job start to finish. When Max came by to see how we liked the new patio I joked and said man it’s so great that I really wish you guys do asphalt because our drive at our house is draining water towards the house and basement that it’d be great to hire a company like yours but for asphalt driveways. Max laughed and said we actually do asphalt driveways as well, that’s how I started in this business. I said oh really?!, would you be up for the challenge to getting the driveway graded correctly. He said sure and told me what his plan would be for better water draining away from the house. Gave us an estimate and we said yes, got the driveway scheduled and it turned out just as beautiful as his concrete work. There is a photo in here of a concrete square next to the driveway that the team at Chesapeake redid as part of our backyard patio and it matched the grading we needed for the driveway.

TL;DR: if you’re looking for a company that does great work that is headed by an awesome guy with great team members then give Max at Chesapeake Concrete Solutions a call or text and you’ll honestly be glad you did.

I contacted Chesapeake Concrete Solutions to replace a small concrete porch on my parents house. Max and his crew did a terrific job. They arrived promptly when they said they would! The best concrete work we have ever had done in all the years that we had to have any concrete work before. Fair prices very happy and hardworking man. I can’t say enough about the job new sidewalk just the way I asked it to be and a huge patio that is beautiful.
