Motar on our back wall was falling apart so started getting quotes. Exact Brick was the most reasonable and they could start sooner than the others Whoke repoimting job went smooth, took about a day and a half. The finished wall looks great and the motar matches well. Easy process start to finish.
They did tuckpointing on the front and side walls of our house where the mortar had started to crack and crumble out. The new joints are really uniform and they did a good job matching the color to what was already there, which I was worried about going in. You can tell the difference immediately - everything looks solid and tight again instead of looking like it's falling apart. A friend of mine over in North Aurora had similar work done by someone else and it didn't match at all, so I'm glad we went this route.
a large vertical crack had been running down one side of our garage for a while and it kept getting more noticeable every spring after the snow melted. at first it looked cosmetic, but this past march it got to the point where you could actually see light through it from inside the garage. we got a few estimates and exact ended up being the one we felt most comfortable with. the owner took time to explain how the settling around that section of the foundation was stressing the wall and why simply filling the crack wouldn’t really solve the problem long term. that explanation made a lot more sense than the other quotes we heard. it took about a week to get on their schedule which was fine. two guys came out and spent most of the day repairing the damaged section of the wall and rebuilding it with fresh mortar, then repointing a larger area so the repair blended in properly. i kept checking on it through the summer after a few heavy storms and everything has stayed completely solid.
