Whatever preconceived notions you might have about construction companies and contractors, set those aside before your first meeting with Remont Construction. Remont Construction is like no other construction company I have met or done business with in the past. They are in the business of making your dream home come true and not in the business of wasting your time, money, or losing your hair.
Remont Construction was great at communication from the first time I contacted them regarding my home renovation. We live in a 100 year old typical craftsman style home in Seattle and our idea was to give it a facelift--a major one. Our first meeting with Remont was in-person by the owner of the company, Viktor. He walked into my home on time with a binder filled with information about me and my house, knew the scent of the candle I was burning, and got right down to business. I gave him all of my ideas during the walk through, while he gave me some of his, and I already knew I wanted Remont to work on my house. I had a few other construction companies visit after Remont, but no one even came close in terms of professionalism and caliber of work.
After deciding to work with Remont, we met with all of our tradesmen months before our project had a start date, and all on the same day so that everyone would be on the same page of our scope of work and I would know who would be working in my home (all coordinated by Remont's team). I wanted to be my own designer for our project, so my main contact for pre-construction, Rod, worked through all of the details with me and even met me at cabinet companies and shops to pick out all of my appliances, finishes, hardware, everything so that all of our items would be ready to go once our project started.
Our project manager during construction, Stan, is the best in the business. My husband and I believe he might be a wizard or magician because anytime we had a question or something that needed to be taken cared of, Stan would have someone in our house that same day not needing us to tell them a single word, and they would just come in and do their job efficiently. Stan also sent us an email at the end of each week detailing what work was done in our home that week, if there were any scheduling or billing changes, and what will be worked on the following week. Every person on Remont's team, especially one of our favorites, Roman, has been doing their craft for so long that they are so meticulous with every single cut and installation they come across. Our project was scheduled to take about four months from the beginning of August to December, and Stan made sure our house was professionally cleaned and in hosting condition by Thanksgiving.
We lived in our home during our construction, which wasn't ideal since renovations are already stressful to begin with. But working with Remont was not stressful at all. If you are looking for a construction company that offers thorough communication, is detail oriented almost to a fault, and will exceed your expectations on your home, do not hesitate to contact Remont Construction.
