This past summer I worked with Joe on a large outdoor art installation in midcoast Maine. As an artist, I came to the project with my overall idea and concept and Joe helped conceive the structural and practical sides of the project. He did this with the utmost respect and kindness and his contributions truly enhanced the project. It was phenomenal working with Joe and his crew. He is one of the nicest people I've ever collaborated with and hope to utilize his expertise again in the future.

We work with Joe regularly on stone installations and have been very pleased with his work. Summer 2024 we asked him to work with a visiting artist to do a rather unusual installation. He and his team jumped in right away to help with design, troubleshooting, and fabrication - truly going above an beyond. It all turned out really nice and our guests love seeing the new art installation. Many thanks to the Norton Stoneworks team! I highly recommend them to anyone!

I will start this review by stating that while Norton Stoneworks create and deliver truly outstanding stone and masonry projects, what truly sets them apart is that they are artists and incredible craftsman who create amazing and beautiful results. Norton delivered four separate projects for Ann and I; an interior 8x5 stone fireplace, headlined with a 3,785 pound slab of granite as the base stone, a 35 foot exterior stone chimney, and a 30x10 exterior stone walkway, and a 4,100 pound solid granite stone exterior landing. The work was truly amazing, painstakingly done by hand, with a creative flair that makes people stop and comment repeatedly on how it was actually done and the amazing visual results. Throughout the five month project Joe, Willie and Brandon executed the project with excellence, and what was incredible is that there was no rework, or stones that Ann and I did not like across the four projects. This is truly an amazing accomplishment and feat, and a testimony to the superior attention to detail, excellence and penchant by Norton to create amazing and beautiful finished products as Ann and I were not onsite at the project for weeks at a time. When we did have a chance to work on site with Joe, Willie and Brandon we had a great time discussing the various options and creative ways in which the projects could be done, and it was evident that Norton is focused on making sure that the project is done right, on budget, and with tremendous visual impact. This was not an easy or straightforward project; Norton had to place a 3,785 pound, 8x6plus solid piece of granite through our existing home, and place the stone in the base of the fireplace structure. The end result of all three projects was exceptional, and in our opinion its a work of art and one that reflects the passion and commitment of Norton Stone works. If you want outstanding work, built with excellence and with a creative and artistic flair look no further than Norton Stoneworks. Joe has worked with us on a number of projects over the last 10 years and is a very talented and delightful person. He designed and built a beautiful stone wall and walkway for the entrance of our home in Boothbay which transformed the approach to the house. It is perfect!
