Recent reviews frequently mention on-time arrivals, courteous communication, and thorough explanations after inspections. Homeowners appreciate how clean crews leave work areas, even during chimney removals and sweepings. Many cite smooth experiences with stove insert installations and ongoing annual maintenance. Overall sentiment reflects reliable scheduling and professional workmanship.

Dan and John did a 2-day brick chimney removal job for us from the roof to the basement, dodging attic insulation, interior gas piping and electrical wiring the whole time. Arrived on time, kept the house cleaner than you’d ever expect when hammering out 75-year-old masonry, and were polite & professional. 10/10, solid work by good people. Worth every penny.

I was not present when Rob was cleaning and inspecting my wood stove and chimney due to a previously scheduled appointment I had. He was very cordial and professional on arrival. He had just completed the job when I returned 1 1/2 hours later and was very good explaining the issue he found through his inspection of the wood stove-chimney connection. The wood stove is as clean as when it was first installed.

We have used BRICKLINERS for the past 8 yrs to inspect our woodstove . They are professional and always go over their inspection and if see any issues they take their time to explain and offer solutions and recommendations clearly! Always safety first and we very much appreciate! Evan has been our service technician for years and is extremely knowledgeable and friendly . BRICKLINERS is a quality business!

10/10 would recommend Brickliners. Customer service was great, had multiple phone calls with various team member and they were all a pleasure to work with. Our technician Ian was prompt, provided great service/cleaning and professionalism. Will continue to use in the future.

We are so thrilled with our new stove insert! We recently bought an old home, and later found out that our fireplace was unuseable. After getting a couple quotes from various chimney companies, Jason and his team from Brickliners came over to do an inspection to see what our options are to salvage what we have. He was very informative and we decided to go with a wood stove insert! His team was so efficient and got the stove ordered quickly and Jason and his team came over within only a month and a half to install the insert.

They were so quick and knowledgeable, they ended up finishing the two day job in just one day! And now we have a beautiful working wood stove that we have been using ever since. They made our completely unusable fireplace into a working heat source that we will be able to enjoy for the rest of our time in this house. Everyone who we spoke with at Brickliners are true professionals! From the friendly scheduling receptionists, to the installation team - everyone was a joy to work with. Thank you, Brickliners!

Frequently Asked Questions

Many homeowners book an inspection and sweep annually before heating season. Frequency can depend on how often you burn and the type of fuel. An inspection identifies creosote buildup, liner condition, and drafting issues. Your technician can set a maintenance cadence based on usage.

Common signs include smoke backing up, strong odors, visible cracks, loose bricks, or excessive creosote. A camera-assisted inspection can confirm liner deterioration or gaps at connections. Addressing issues early helps improve safety and appliance performance. Ask for a written report with photos when possible.

Many older fireplaces can be adapted for a properly sized insert or stove with the right liner and clearances. A site visit determines hearth dimensions, venting path, and code requirements. The team will review options, efficiency considerations, and what to expect during installation. Permits and inspections may be required locally.

Technicians typically protect floors and furnishings and use containment and vacuums to control dust. Reviews note homes are left cleaner than expected for these projects. You can help by clearing the work area and securing pets. For larger removals, discuss debris staging and disposal in advance.

Share appliance type, fuel, last service date, and any symptoms like smoke or odors. Photos of the hearth, chimney exterior, and roof access points can speed estimates. Let the office know about parking, stair access, or attic insulation near the chimney. This helps the crew arrive prepared and efficient.
