Is it a rock solid promise to stand behind their work?That’s what you get with Brick and StoneB&S built the steps to my new home 13 years ago. They did a great job. But over time, the facades on the steps started to show cracks, as if something was wrong underneath their otherwise beautiful appearance.This past winter, the freeze/thaw cycle was finally too much, and some of the stone facade pieces began not only cracking, but also detaching altogether.Victor Chavez, president of Brick and Stone, came to our home to see what what the problem was.It turns out the mortar used originally had been of poor quality, something they could not have known at the time the steps were built. They buy their mortar from a supplier. They don’t make it themselves. They trusted them, just like we trusted B&S.Victor took one look at the disintegrating mortar and knew right away that the slate risers and stone facades would have to come off, and then be reattached.Another company had come out to give me an estimate. It ran close to $3,000.Victor said if I could just cover his labor cost, he would take care of the rest, at a fraction of the estimated cost.No excuses.No hesitation.Just integrity … and knowing that the right thing is ALWAYS the right thing to do.Our new new steps are gorgeous, and indeed, rock solid.I cannot recommend them highly enough, and would not hesitate to work with them again.
Brick & Stone did a great job on our patio. They were easy to work with and completed the job quickly. We’d recommend them for any patio needs—they work closely with E&K construction who built our pergola. Both were easy to work with and executed our vision perfectly. We will definitely use them in the future for any patio needs! Highly recommend.
This Company is the best of the best. They do amazing work and can do nice things with stone. Victor has great ideas and will help you design your project. I have had them do several stone work projects over the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. This is truly a great Company!
I called to request an estimate for a project at the beginning of the week, and their response was fairly prompt. Victor came to my home on Thursday, and he was great. He listened to my thoughts and made good suggestions, took my contact info and said he’d get me an estimate by Monday or Tuesday of the next week. When I didn’t hear from him by Wednesday, I texted (his requested mode of communication) and he said he had a backlog of estimates but they were working on it, which is fine.However, I didn’t hear from them again. I texted a few weeks later, about a month after the estimate was due, and never heard back. I asked if they were still interested in the job, and heard nothing. It’s been six weeks now. It’s super disappointing, as I’d heard they did good work but apparently are not interested in doing my project. Definitely don’t get your heart set on using this company, they don’t really seem to care at all. I’d recommend finding a company that actually wants to do work.
Pepe is by far one of the best sales reps that I have every worked with. He was very responsive. He had everything done exactly as discussed at the price discussed.Our Miguel did very nice work on our fireplace drystacked stone. It came out great!I would highly recommend Brick and Stone! Great work at a fair price.
