Working with Chasen Concrete Inc. was an extremely frustrating experience. While communication started off well with an initial email outlining the timeline, things quickly deteriorated. After that first message, the crew would show up at random days and times without notice.

Despite clearing my driveway for access to the back, they chose to drive through my ditch and front yard, causing damage. They charged a $450 buggy fee, yet left the buggy sitting in the middle of the road without any warning signs or cones. I had to move it myself while the crew watched, after multiple cars had to swerve around it — no thanks or assistance given. I also had to clean up plywood and plastic they left in the street.

To make matters worse, I received an invoice for final payment while the job was still incomplete. I had to explain via email that drainage work was unfinished and that some of the stone had not set correctly and needed to be redone. When workers eventually returned, they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing — I had to explain everything to them myself.

Overall, the communication and coordination from this company were severely lacking. Management appears disconnected from the work being done in the field. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I used Chasen Concrete for our pool decking around our pool and our sidewalk to access the pool. It is a stamped colored concrete patio with multiple levels and it is stunning! It's a rather large patio deck and was a big project, so it took several days of forming. Each and every time the crews were here, they were on-time and worked really hard to get the job done and done right! They installed stone around our spa, installed a waterfall feature, installed travertine coping, and formed and installed a stamped colored concrete with very straight saw cuts on a diagonal. Everyone who sees it comments on how pretty it is and I agree 100%. Every step along the way of this huge back yard project went well. There were a couple of delays because of rainy weather, but the communication from our pool company, Rising Sun and Chasen Concrete was excellent. I highly recommend Chasen Concrete for their attention to detail and professionalism. Their quality of work is first class!

Chasen was referred by our pool installer. We wanted to install a pool coping and a patio. Due to size, sloping and property restrictions we needed help. Baird and Cory were great—provided good ideas while communicating with one another. And they showed up as scheduled. Then there was the crew. They worked hard and helped solve problems. Alvaro was fantastic. The result is amazing (see before, during and after pics.)

I am very unhappy!!! 1 year after the concrete was poured we had major structural cracks. I called my pool contractor to find they were taken over by someone else and that the new company was not fixing prior company’s problems. I didn’t remember the name of this company to contact them. I just received a note about my review or I would nevee have been able to update this review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I attached photos of my pool deck.

I must tell you impressed and happy I am with
your team Leader Juan and crew work on our concrete edging of our new pool.

They were on time, worked hard, cared about the job and it showed during their work and now in the completion.

Juan's work was like an artist detailing a sculpture. Seriously! He took such care and love as he was taking off the mold and smoothing the edge of the pool. He took a very long time making sure that the edge looked perfect which it does! I would hire this team for any masonry we had to be done on our property.

Professional, friendly, honest with integrity.

Thanks again! Lani Phillips

Frequently Asked Questions

Typical projects include driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks, including stamped and colored finishes. They also address site prep and grading that supports those concrete installations.

They work with stamped patterns and integral or antiquing colors to achieve a range of finishes. Availability of patterns and colors can vary by project, so it’s best to review samples during an estimate.

Timeframes depend on size, weather, and permitting or inspections where required. Many residential flatwork projects take several days from forming through pour and finish, followed by curing time before use.

They may take on repairs related to settled or damaged flatwork depending on the condition and scope. An on-site assessment is usually needed to determine options and costs.

Ensure access is clear for trucks and equipment and keep vehicles off the work area. Discuss protection of lawns, drainage areas, and any access routes in advance to reduce site impact.
