They worked hard all day and had our driveway extension completed in one day - already have had multiple compliments from the neighbors on how good the driveway looks - would highly recommend to anyone in the area and will use again when needed
I reached out to Dwayne about four months ago to get quotes for redoing my back patio. He had done work for my mother and others in my neighborhood with great results, so I felt confident moving forward. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. After an initial quote expired due to family emergencies, I requested another and signed off right away. From there, communication was almost nonexistent. My husband and I had to repeatedly chase him down just to get the project scheduled. When the crew finally started, they tore up our old patio and set the form, then disappeared for days. Once they came back, the work dragged on until 9 p.m. just to pour and smooth the concrete. They sealed it, as suggested, but provided no aftercare instructions and disappeared again. It also took them weeks to even cash our checks. Now, half of the patio looks fine, but the other half is a mess. It produces dust every time we or our dogs walk on it, scratches easily, and looks terrible. For a $4,000 project, I expected professionalism and quality. Instead, I’ve been left frustrated and extremely disappointed
We added a parking pad to our driveway. The price was affordable. Lots of communications. The staff was nice and cleaned afterwards. The job was completed in 2 days. Overall work lots nice and neat. We are just waiting for it to dry and the color to fade out to match our driveway. I would definitely recommend this company foryour concrete needs.
This company and crew did such a beautiful job on my garage pad and worked their butts off getting it done under a tight deadline. I have to say I will be reaching out for all future jobs. Highly recommend them if you are in need of concrete work. Thanks Blake and Dwayne. I will be in touch in the future.
Attn: all of Columbia South Carolina and surrounding areas, if you are looking for a concrete company or retaining wall company, PLEASE do not go with this company. The owners name is Dwayne Green and I can promise you that if you want it done correctly, he's not your guy. My wife and I have waited many years for a back yard oasis. Pool, nice patio and retaining wall. We hired Dwayne and his crew to come in do the pool deck and retaining wall. The wall was built first and then the concrete pool deck was poured afterwards. Lets start with the retaining wall. If you type in Youtube or Google how to build a retaining wall you will find that the very first and most important step is the bottom course. It must be laid on minimum 6 inches of compacted level gravel. As you can see in the pictures I have posted, that the bottom course was laid directly on to red clay. Not one ounce of gravel underneath the bottom course. Dwayne claims that step doesn't matter and as long as the clay is level, it will be ok. You can also see in the pictures i attached a block that his workers knocked a hole in to go around a irrigation pipe. When you are looking at the pictures look at where the hole is in relation to where the river of water is flowing on my pool deck. Retaining wall 101 says you fill the blocks with some type of drainage rocks. Dwayne and his crew filled my entire wall with red clay. Clay bleeds when it rains, so guess what color my wall was after every rain. Dwaynes response, oh we just fill the wall with whatever materials we have available. The drainage pipe was put directly on top of a small of amount of 57 gravel, then he dumped red clay on top of the drainage pipe. The drainage pipe didn't have a sock around it, so guess what happened to the pipe, it was clogged. After speaking to Dwayne and asking how we were going to fix this, his response. You need to waterproof the wall. He also blamed the contour of the land behind the wall for all the problems. As you can see in the pictures, water and mud came on to my deck after every rain, there was no stopping it. Retaining walls are built to stop the elements outside of it from coming in, Dwaynes response, "I can't help where you live". I met with Dwayne at my house to try and get him to do the right thing and redo the wall. I explained to him that I spend well over 20k dollars for the wall alone. I spend hours after every rain cleaning up mud and pressure washing my pool deck. He told me the wall was built correct and that he stood behind his work. Just take a look at the pictures and you tell me if that's what you think a retaining wall should do. 2 engineers and 3 other companies came out and said that the wall was a complete disaster. He did offer 7500 dollars for me to do with whatever I wanted to, but said, "not because I think the wall is wrong but because I'm done going in circles". He also claimed that the wall wasn't going anywhere and that It sat up against 4 inches of concrete. In my contract for my pool deck it clearly says the deck will be 4 in thick all the way around. I have attached some photos of the concrete. It's 1in and some places 1/4 inches thick. So if you pay for 4 inches and get that, should the owner be responsible for some type of compensation? Dwaynes response, "the warranty will cover any issues, but I doubt you will have any with a corner against a wall". That's not the point, I paid for 4 inches thick, the contract you typed up said 4in. all the way around, so where is the rest of my concrete? We had to hire another company to come and tear down his wall, rebuild it correctly. Dwayne cares more about money than his integrity. Never once did Dwayne admit to being wrong, he blamed everyone else. He is the owner of the company and he is responsible for everything that goes on. Its concerning when he only shows up to a job site this size 3-4 times and has no clue what has went on. Working with Dwayne and his company was an absolute night mare and I do not wish this on anyone. Stay away from this company.
