Customers suggest confirming scheduling windows and cleanup specifics in writing.
Quick and professional service, they were done with my patio extension in a few hours and cleaned everything up nicely, highly recommend!
This company does not stand behind their work. Communications were extremely poor. It was not clear as to the scope of work and what would be done. The job was rushed. Site was left in a mess. Had to make several calls/texts to reach the project manager. Never arrived when he said he would.Highly recommend you look for another concrete contractor.
Lucky Concrete. Corpus Christi, TexasWorst project manager, Martin. Once the concrete pour was done, instead of cleaning all debris around the slab, he went to sit down at our picnic table and played with his iPhone. The other person went back to sit at the truck and played with his phone as well. An hour later, they groomed the concrete, then started packing up to leave, but there was still lots of concrete spilled in our yard to clean but left behind! Martin said he would come back the next day to clean up the debris from the wall, door and yard they created. But no one ever showed, nor contacted us to let us know when they would be returning to clean the mess! After messaging Martin several times, I called Andrew and he confirmed that Martin would be over to clean the debris. But when Martin came over, he was angry with a bad attitude about having to clean the debris. All and all, Martin did not completely clean his messy job. He left lots of debris stuck on our exterior wall of the house.Keep your eye on Martin if he comes to do the concrete job for you. Be outside and watch his job performance.I want to thank Andrew for getting on with the case!
Lucky's concrete tore out and redid our front and side porches that had begun to sink and Crack. Martin was the project manager and was very easy to deal with. He was on top of any concerns or requests that I had and the finished porches look excellent. We have plans for future concrete work and will be using Lucky's for that as well.
My wife and I contracted lucky’s concrete to pour a 50’x8’ slab on the back of our house. The initial communication seemed to be going good and project manager, Martin, was sent out to take a look at the property beforehand. After agreeing to have the work done by Lucky’s, service immediately started to drop off. They were initially supposed to show up between 7am and 8am to start framing and laying sub grading….the project manager and workers didn’t show up u til almost 10am. They made no contact with us when they arrived just made their way to the back of the house and started laying material around the yard. While they were laying down sand the project manager stated that they would be pouring concrete by 11am the next morning. They finished framing and laying rebar around 3pm the first day. The following day they showed up around 1:45pm, almost 3 hours later than the 11am time they were supposedly going to start pouring concrete. The workers just sat/laid around our property until roughly 3:45pm when the concrete finally showed up. Once the concrete was on site they started pouring and spreading the concrete. The workers were here until roughly 7pm working on the concrete. They left without saying anything once they had finished for the day. That night I went to look at the slab and realized they never packed the sand and the whole 50’ face of the slab was very inconsistent with concrete. What was supposed to be a 4” slab had less than 1/2” in a lot of places. This clearly shows that they did not compact the sub grading before pouring the concrete. Once I contacted the project manager the next day he ensured me he would be out to repair these inconsistencies once the slab had set. We agreed on a date and he said he would get back to me about the time. The night before he was to come out to make repairs I reached out since we hadn’t set a specific time just for him to say he couldn’t make it and pushed it back two more days. Two days later he reached out saying he wasn’t going to make it out again. At this point we were already unhappy with the service so I reached out to the owner, Andrew. At first Andrew seemed to be understanding and seemed to want to make things right. Stating that he was going to get a different project manager out to get everything taken care of. Only a couple hours later for Andrew to say that Martin would be coming back out to perform the repairs because he was his “go to” in the area. In the contract it states that if we as client delay any work we will have to pay a 15% fee. I brought this up with Andrew and asked if we can get a 15% refund since they were delaying work over and over again. I also let Andrew know that our contract had technically been broken since it states that they will be “compacting the sub grading” and you can clearly see in photos that they did not. Once I brought this up along with concerns about the service and lack of attendance his tone started to change. I could no longer get in contact with Andrew and had to deal with Martin coming back out to “make repairs”. He showed up and explained what he would be doing stating “it would be flush and you would not be able to tell the difference”. You can still clearly see where these repairs have been made and it does not look flush what so ever. Along with the slab being a huge disappointment they spilt concrete in different parts of our yard and just ran over it with machinery leaving it to harden. Not even 3 weeks later we got a light rain only for it to wash out a huge amount of sub grading….something Martin said we wouldn’t have to worry about for 10 to 15 years. You can also see rebar visible not even correctly inside the slab.
