We hired Lacasse for our office expansion and renovation. First step was to take down a few walls and put them back up elsewhere to combine two office spaces to one. Then the creation of a new ocean-view staff lounge with custom millwork, 5 new offices, a boardroom, bathroom, and a space large enough for collaboration desks, bike racks, and, of course, the pool table.From the first meeting and all through our reno, the professionalism, attention to details, and expert craftpersonship shines through every aspect of Lacasse and their team. We were impressed with their ability to mitigate noise and disturbance to the others in our office buildings throughout the project.Project Manager Lief, Superintendent Matt, Financial Manger Lyn, and Emily Project Coordinator and their crew were all delightful to work with. We appreciated their consistent, clear and concise communication, their flexibility and ability to pivot as we changed design elements, and their friendly "can do" approach and attitude.While we have always enjoyed working with Lacasse on our many mutual projects for others, it was wonderful to experience their fantastic work ethic as a client ourselves.Our project was completed literally on time (even a few days early) and under budget, without any sacrifice to build quality. Lacasse construction seems to be good at final construction results however their process and consideration for local neighbours during construction leaves a lot to be desired.A long term project on an apartment building has been noisy which is understandable and they do follow bylaws around noise etc. what they don’t do is respond to neighbours complaints about leaving ugly equipment hanging over communal hedges that become eyesores for backyard landscapes. The property under construction has an extremely large parking lot and surrounding area where this equipment can be parked when not in use. After a formal complaint in writing to the foreman the equipment was relocated for about 2 days before it was in the same spot once more. A second piece of equipment was added to hang over the hedge view. So as if the noise for the past several months wasn’t enough the added ugly site is added. Photos are attached and my latest requests to park them elsewhere (10 feet away behind the apartment building) have been ignored. Such lovely community spirit! Seems minor however annoying when viewed from our windows EVERY DAY and sitting outside to enjoy our yard and gardens is a thing of the past!
