Mortar City Masonry

Wonderful experience. They came out on short notice to evaluate some crumbling concrete steps, we decided to rip it out and replace with a custom poured steps. I was on a short turn around and they were out the same week, job done in 1 day. Steps look great! Communication, quality of work, responsiveness all top notch. Highly recommend.

Recently had a 10/10 experience with Mortar City Masonry! I needed a chimney rebuilt and had no clue what that process even entailed. Luckily I submitted an inquiry w/ Mortar City & was able to work with Dylan; he showed up on time, walked the property with me, spent time answering all my questions, and provided me w/ a zero-pressure estimate on the spot. Everything was priced fairly so I accepted the project on Friday afternoon and had a new chimney on Monday - wow! It was a quick turn-time so I'm thankful Dylan spent extra time w/ me (over the weekend!) since this was my first chimney project, which landed me a perfect result. The following day I met at the house w/ Mike; he also patiently answered any last questions I had on the project and made sure I was happy w/ the result. Thanks again guys, I appreciate it!

We recently had our front concrete porch rebuilt, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the crew was professional, reliable, and respectful of our property. They arrived on time each day and completed the work with great attention to detail. One thing that really stood out was their willingness to carefully dig up and replant several plants that were in the way, which showed how much they cared about preserving our landscaping. The finished porch looks fantastic, and they left the work area spotless when the job was done. It’s refreshing to work with a company that takes such pride in both their craftsmanship and customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing concrete work.

Phenomenal work on my new paver patio from Mortar City Masonry! Mike, Brad, Jose and the whole crew were fantastic. They started at 8am and finished by 5pm the same day. Everything is perfectly level, water runs away from the house, their attention to detail is spot on. the pattern looks unique and different than everyones in the neighborhood. Jose even replaced my underground downspout at no extra charge. They beat the price of 3 other companies and finished faster. Brad from sales was excellent, he gave me tons of options, answered every text and call, and made the whole process smooth. The installers were very respectful and worked incredibly hard. The quality of work is excellent. Very professional, follow up with any questions or concerns timely. They are helpful with any ideas that assist you. They are. also timely with scheduling. I really like how they showed us a picture of how the patio walkway is going to look before a decision is made. Completed patio walkway photo attached.

We had our porch pavers reset and some parts with new larger brick. They showed up right on time for the installation. Everything was to what we wanted as a homeowner. The estimation process was smooth and simple. I would Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get masonary work completed. Mike was awesome to work with and took care of a couple small hiccups but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Brett from estimation was easy and awesome to work with. Overall the experience with Motor City Masonary was smooth and simple.

My husband and I had an emergent chimney situation over the holiday season and Mortar City Masonry was fantastic. They worked with us to get someone out for a consultation the same day we called, even on New Years Day and had our chimney fixed within two days after that. They even lent us a space heater to use while we were waiting for the work to be completed. They did a great job and we’re very happy we chose to work with them! Very prompt and thorough!

If only every project would go as smoothly as this! We called many masonry contractors and most didn’t even bother to call us back. Mike was extremely responsive, came out to give us a quote (a very reasonable one) and then didn’t hound us after that. A few weeks went by before we were ready to have our chimney repaired, and when I called Mike get something scheduled, he was able to have his team come out within a week to get it done. His crew was very respectful, they did an awesome job and were very quick, and they were able to provide me photos of the work up close so I didn’t need to climb up there and check it out myself. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a smoother experience all around. After dealing with plenty of terrible contractors over the years, it’s just really refreshing to have an overall great experience, even for something as silly as a chimney repair.

My initial poc was Brett. I showed him the brick work I wanted to be done and he in-turn performed a complete inspection of my home's exterior, including the roof! Brett further made recommendation on repairs that took precedent over a couple of cosmetic jobs I requested, and I agreed. There was no hard- selling or coaxing. The price quoted was very reasonable for repairing face brick, court yard brick and my chimneys, to include a couple of driveway slabs. The crew and the crew chiefs, Jeff and Kevin were attentive, knowledgeable and very professional. The Masonry crew understood their tasks and did their jobs with care and expertise and arrived when they said they would. I was told the job would take 2 days from start to finish and it did. As for the office staff, Mike, the head man in charge was great to deal with and understanding. I will be using Mortar City in the future for additional work I need done.My initial poc was Brett. We were very impressed with this company from the beginning to the end. We originally met them at the Home Show earlier this year. They booked an appointment and came out very quickly to give an estimate. Scott showed up on time in their impressive company truck. Scott was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Follow up was quick. Estimate was comparable to another vendor. We signed with them and work began in April. The job was done in 5 days. The crew showed up on time every day and was respectful of the property. Very hard working and did an amazing job. Great job cleaning up. Jeff the project manager was quick to respond. We are very happy with the outcome. We received many compliments from the neighbors and family. Definitely would recommend this company.
