We had our foundations done by Abalon two years ago. We haven't had enough rain to really test the quality and efficacy of their work. Well, after this weekend it's pretty clear they did an excellent job. My neighbours are pumping water out of their basement this morning and we have lakes in our backyard. That would have meant two or three days of wet vacs running to collect all the seeping water in our basement. This morning, everything is dry and perfect. I have to say I'm a little disappointed that our back porch wasn't properly filled in (it now gives a little and the tiles are cracked) but having the peace of mind that our basement can withstand 100mm of rainfall... well, that's worth 5 stars.
Abalon came to my home to rebuild the sidewalk after they had done some foundation work. The lanscape crew, Yurri and Nazar were very impressive. They were hardworking even through the heat and were able to finish the sidewalk project within the given timeline. Even with my extra requests! The communication between office and site was excellent. The foreman Nate responded quickly to all my questions. I highly recommend Abalon for both your foundation and landscape needs. Bravo guys!
I cannot say enough good things about my recent transaction with Abalon. This company has been around for a very long time and the way they do business shows this! A handshake and an invoice emailed after the job is done! No standing over you insisting on immediate payment before they leave.Alberta has been dealing with very high rainfall and consequently my sump pump was acting up. It worked on and off and was 15 years old with a corded float. After an entire night of bailing water, needless to say we were very stressed and exhausted. When their office opened at 7:30 am I called Dave their booking coordinator. He was so friendly and willing to send me immediate help. Gary arrived and installed a new sump pump. The newer devices have an attached float that goes up and down and eliminates all the issues I was having with my previous sump.He installed, cleaned up ( such a nice touch ) shut off my lights and even closed the crawl space door. He even took away my old equipment. Gary is an outstanding installer. He has many years of experience in the field and a true asset to Abalon. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him.All the pricing was upfront and I believe to be very reasonable. I paid $650 all in for a 1/3 hp sump and installation.Do not hesitate to use Abalon Construction, they do not disappoint.
