I highly recommend Jireh Asphalt and Concrete, who recently replaced my driveway after a garage fire.

Their estimate was clear, detailed, and easy to understand, with a transparent breakdown of costs and scope of work. There was no guessing on my part, which gave me confidence that they’d bring the same precision and attention to detail to the job itself.

From the start, their communication was excellent. The front office sent helpful reminders about upcoming appointments, and Karla was great at answering my questions about logistics and scheduling. She kept everything organized and low-stress.

Ricardo, the project lead, was accessible and responsive throughout, always available for questions or concerns. He was also very helpful in recommending design improvements I hadn’t considered, such as adding a rounded edge and planning where the control/joint lines should go to help manage cracking. These touches really improved the look of my entryway.

Everyone on site was polite, professional, and skilled. There were a few minor wrinkles that were very quickly resolved. Early on, Ricardo let me know we needed a change order when they discovered the existing concrete was 7 inches deep instead of the 4 inches that we had both assumed. They caught it early and were completely upfront, which I appreciated.

Near the end of demolition, a crew member accidentally broke one of my sprinkler heads while mapping out the driveway borders. He immediately told me what happened, went to the store for replacement parts and a new sprinkler head, asked me to help locate the water source, and repaired it the same day. That honesty and follow-through really stood out.

They originally estimated about three days for the project, but they finished ahead of schedule. Day one covered demolition, rebar, and the concrete pour; day two was for texturing, finishing, and cleanup. They pushed to capitalize on good weather and they worked very well together as a team!

Once they were done pouring the concrete, they took time to cover everything when nighttime temperatures were expected to drop below 40 degrees. The final cleanup crew was meticulous and even cleaned inside my garage, which I didn’t expect but really appreciated.

Overall, I’m very happy with the value, professionalism, and quality of work Jireh Asphalt and Concrete delivered. My driveway turned out even better than I expected, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing this type of work.

Update to my review

Ricardo, the project lead, came back to check on the job and said he would send someone else to do more power washing because it did not fully meet his standards. Also, the job was initially done in the rain, which made it hard to see if they had completely cleaned everything in the first pass of power washing.

I was surprised when I heard a power washer about a week later because I’ve already paid them for their scope of work. Jireh had sent a gentleman to do a second pass of power washing! I was truly impressed because not every contractor I’ve worked with is motivated to keep coming back to a job site after they’ve been paid. The gentleman did a very thorough job and was there for several hours, really trying to clean up the site. He did a detailed job. To me, this shows that excellence is an important value for his company.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and responsiveness of Jireh Asphalt and Concrete - from the office staff to the work crew. I had contacted several different companies to get estimates on replacing a garage floor and making a patch in a patio/drive. Jireh was the only outfit to get back to me. The estimator came over just as scheduled, was extremely professional providing great ideas on how to best do the work. His estimate was received quickly and a crew was ready to tackle the work within a week. In just two days the crew walked away with all work completed and the area power washed, including the street where they staged their gear. We hired Jireh to install an asphalt driveway that extends into our back yard for trailer parking. They did an excellent job and were great to work with every step of the way from the competitive bid, communication along the way, clearing the space, paving in close proximity to our house/sheds, and finally coming back to seal coat our old driveway along with the new driveway. 10/10 would recommend and hire them again.
