We recently had the pleasure of working with this incredible family-owned business to replace our 1984 driveway, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.Our driveway replacement project was far from ordinary. With a massive expanse to cover, a tricky slope to contend with, and a challenging drainage situation, we were apprehensive about finding the right team for the job. Montiel Concrete, however, exceeded all our expectations.The crew, led by the father and his sons, displayed a level of expertise that truly amazed us. They tackled the complexities of our project with grace and precision. The slopes, lines, and angles of our new driveway were executed flawlessly, and they even managed to seamlessly integrate a drain channel that now handles our Seattle rain like a pro.This crew is a hidden gem. They seem to primarily focus on new construction projects, and builders don't leave reviews. They were responsible for the driveways of the three new constructions in our neighborhood (this was how I found them).I am also an engineering nerd. I closely observed their work. They did not cut any corners … called 811 for buried utilities, removed and cleaned up the old driveway, prepped the gravel base, compacted, installed rebar with appropriate spacing, and lifted the rebar during the pour to ensure it stayed centered. When I had concerns, the crew was patient, explained the process, and accommodated my asks.In summary, Montiel Concrete is a rare find. Their craftsmanship is outstanding, their team is highly skilled, and they go the extra mile to make sure the job is done well.
