We recently purchased a 6-year-old home in Fairhope, AL, and decided to completely remodel the backyard to eliminate the need to maintain a very small area of grass by expanding our concrete patio that would also support a more space-efficient set of stairs to a lofted living space above our garage. Our landscaping representative suggested we contact Foxcrete to discuss our needs. We contacted them and scheduled a meeting with the owner, Blake Henning. Blake walked us through the process of expanding our existing patio, and we were pleased to learn that Foxcrete often collaborates with the firm (Red Branch Outdoor Living) we were using to build our new stairs. In fact, once we were under contract with both, they communicated with each other on details concerning permitting, footer requirements, and timing. Our concrete pour was done over two days; half a day for prep and inspection and another half day to complete the pour. Our Foxcrete project manager, Doni Dent, was very helpful and communicated with us throughout. When work began, Doni and a crew of three workers showed up and promptly began to excavate to poured area, build forms, drill footers, and pour concrete. They were very careful not to disturb/damage irrigation lines, the existing patio/driveway, and even held up a curtain to eliminate concrete splatter on our garage. Everyone was very nice and personable, and they took time to respond to any questions or concerns we had. They completed their work in a timely manner and cleaned up the area before leaving. I’m pleased to say that the new patio looks great, and our stairs are in the process of being built. I would highly recommend contacting Foxcrete if you need any kind of concrete work done!
