Yesterday the driver for Modern at 3656 Stanley rd drove like a speed demon.
After dumping his load he went out a very long private driveway that is clearly posted 5 MPH Because small children & pet's play in the driveway. He would never have been able to stop in Time to save a life. The real bad drier also hit the Frontier phone line & knocked it off the pole and never stopped. Hopefully they carry good Insurance to fix this or are able to pay the bill for a line man to fix it. They will not be delivering any more concrete at this address. 4 more trucks needed to.We have even been told they are having trouble with the concrete mix this year by the driver.
Ferguson is definitely the best!!

Terrible experience. Concrete showed up just over 2.5 hours late. I had three guys on the job waiting for it. It was a small pour in terms of yardage but a complicated 16 step pour down a hill with 3 landings. Supposed to be delivered at 10am. I called at 1015 and was told they were loading up now and I’d have it in an hour. Called again around 1115 and was told it was on truck 81 but they didn’t have gps on it. Called again at 12 and was told 5 minutes out. Truck 15 showed up at 1236, not even the truck they told me was coming. I was told they don’t strive for this but it happens. We were trying to pour in the cooler morning but got pushed into the heat of the day. Pour turned out decent but tensions were high to say the least. From now on I’ll pay the higher prices to use their competitors.

I ordered concrete to be delivered at 4:30. When the driver hadn't shown at 5:15, we called. They said he was at the next street down… he wasn’t. I drove down the road 15 + miles thinking he couldn’t find us. We called a few more times then they called me. The dispatch had the driver going to an address in Clio.. by Dort and Lewis road which is clearly not Otisville. Wrong address on the ticket and no phone number for the driver to call for better directions
Obviously by the time he got here and starting pouring it, the concrete was setting up quickly. The guys didn’t have time to trim the edges but they did the best they could before it was set. It’s not the best job but it’s far from the worst. Given the circumstances, the guys hustled and did what they could in the situation.
The driver, Kevin was awesome. He even got out to lend a hand.
I called today and left a message for someone to call me. I never heard from them . Im disappointed in the way this transaction was handled and not even a return call.
I would highly recommend the driver have the clients correct address and the phone number for any mistakes.
It’s not cheap to replace concrete!!

No experience necessary for concrete workers when you have Delivery Dave on the job. I highly recommend asking for him if you need a delivery. By far the best placement of material I have personally seen. I was sidelined and only had 3 able bodies. No one had concrete experience beyond mixing a bag or 2 in wheel barrow. I'm starting here with the review. Calling company and hope to have him deliver our next load and approach into barn. Kiddos to Dave!
