We were almost hit by an Absolute Concrete truck and trailer hauling grading equipment last night. I live on a rural road, I put my signal on roughly 250 yards prior to my driveway, and the truck was visibly going to fast and couldn't stop. As I approached the left turn into my driveway the Absolute Concrete truck swung out into the left lane (unable to stop) and would have hit me had I not been paying attention. I called this company to let them know and left a message in which I never received a call back.
I had a great experience with Absolute Concrete. I worked with Pat, Jared, and Jacob — all three were professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. Their communication was solid and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend! 10/10 - Kevin OFW
originally posted Nov. 2023 - posting again since Google didn't make this publicly availableI'm guessing you could probably find a worse concrete company if you tried but I definitely know you can find many better concrete companies with little effort. The general contractor I hired decided to have these guys do the concrete work on a house I built almost 5 years ago now (spring of 2019).The rating is two stars because they didn't screw everything up, just my driveway. The patio work they did is acceptable because it wasn't poured in the rain like my driveway was. Most average people know it's common sense you can't pour concrete when it's raining. Apparently a company that is in the business of pouring concrete doesn't know this though. And, of course it turned out like garbage. It was wavy/uneven immediately and there were pits everywhere within a year. They don't care though, they got their profits and moved on to the next job.I contacted Absolute Concrete in 2020 (the next year) about these concerns and they played the run around with never getting back to me and just delaying, delaying, delaying. When it was obvious I was not just going to go away, the owner initially denied the existence of rain the day they poured it. I then sent him pictures of them pouring it that day (I have proof). They then claimed that it was likely due to road salt - they sent in a sample of my concrete for testing and all was well (some attempt at avoiding blame I guess). Regardless of what some test said, my NEW driveway looks like crap and all the other OLDER driveways in my neighborhood look just fine - kinda blows a hole in the road salt argument. In 2021, they said they would "make it right" by the end of the year. Well, 2021 came and went and of course nothing happened. The last communication I had with them was at the end of last year (2022) when they doubled down on their concrete testing which determined that the concrete they poured was just fine. The basic "eye test" tells a much different story though. I would love for them to just walk by a few other OLDER houses in my neighborhood, then walk by my house, and tell me to my face that all is well. Obviously, their concrete work on my driveway was shoddy. Even if they offered to fix their bad work now, I wouldn't allow them to step foot on my property because these people cannot be trusted anymore. To drive the point home regarding their dishonesty: during one conversation, the owner even told me that concrete is only designed to last five years anyway (?!), as if that was supposed to make me feel better or something. All that did was clearly expose their BS and the fact that no one should hire this place when there are honest people out there that will actually earn your money.Pictures show the rainy day of work and the atrocious aftermath.
We recently had 600 square feet of patio poured by Absolute Concrete and could not be happier with the results. Pat was great to work with from start to finish and was enthusiastic about our patio design, concrete color and stamp choice. It was the perfect amount of guidance for a project while allowing us to be creative. The crew was professional and courteous to us. The project was finished in 1 day. There wasn't a mess made of the work area and there was even caution taken by vehicles entering and leaving to not kill the grass. I would 100% recommend Absolute Concrete to anyone looking to have a patio poured.
One word, “FANTASTIC.” From start to finish Absolute Concrete was great. Not only were they competitively priced but every single worker was kind, professional, hard working and skilled. Needless to say we were so pleased with the results. Without a doubt, we will be hiring Absolute Concrete again for future projects.
