We hired Jay to repair two natural stone retaining walls around our front and side bay windows. The grout had deteriorated, and several stones were coming loose. Jay responded quickly to my initial inquiry with a phone call, on-site evaluation, quote, and tentative schedule. The work was completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The repaired walls look great and are now structurally sound. Jay was professional, friendly, and left the job site clean when the work was finished. We used this service in 2022, when the reviews seemed decent.

As some others have mentioned, the pattern seems to be that Jay does not answer calls or texts, or answers them too late. Oh, and he didn't complete the job correctly in the first place (see photos), and didn't redo the work within the 2-year warranty, as promised.

We had a leak somewhere on the roof, and he said he could repoint our chimney (not cheap—$1,500) and see if that took care of the problem. Less than two years later, still within his warranty period, the leak returned. We texted and left several voice mail messages. Finally, about 1 month later, he texted back and said he'd come over (beginning of May).

He took a look and admitted that there were a few spots he could retouch and could do better (so it sounds like it wasn't done completely/properly in the first place) but he thought that the leak probably had nothing to do with the chimney work. He advised us to call someone else for the leak issue, and said he could return to touch up the work, but never did. . . .

We called a proper roofer a few months later, and when he came down with detailed photos of the chimney (see attached photos), his professional opinion was that "whoever did this chimney work either didn't know what they were doing, or didn't care." He told us to call the chimney guy to come back and complete the work, and at least get our $1,500's worth.

I texted (because Jay does *not* return phone calls) with photos, between October and December. Not surprisingly, Jay never responded.
