I recently hired Josh for concrete stamping and couldn't be happier with the experience. I knew nothing about the process going in, but Josh took the time to educate me and made sure I understood every step. His explanations were clear and I never felt pressured.
The project started and finished exactly on schedule – no dragging things out or missed commitments. When we hit an unexpected issue, Josh didn't just throw numbers at me. He explained the problem, why it needed addressing, and kept the additional cost as minimal as possible. That kind of transparency is rare.
The finished work looks fantastic, and the whole experience was surprisingly stress-free for a home improvement project! I'd absolutely recommend Josh to friends and family. If you're looking for someone who knows their craft, communicates well, and treats you fairly, you're in good hands.

We went with Old Towne Custom Concrete because they had good reviews here, but our experience did not go well. We discussed goals with Josh and agreed that our 20x20 stamped concrete patio should drain away from the house. When the pour was complete there were several issues. The patio drains water directly back to the house, it is not graded evenly with ups and downs leading to wobbly furniture and gallons of pooling water, the stamping is light or non-existent in some areas, leftover concrete and gravel were dumped in the corner of our yard, and a nearby sidewalk was damaged. We let Josh know that we weren’t happy and he offered solutions only to fix the puddle. We sent an email suggesting that the only way that we could see how all of these problems (especially the drainage) would be fixed would be to repour the patio. Knowing the difficulty of this we also suggested a 50% discount as a possible resolution. Josh responded with a very confrontational and threatening email that ended by saying that if he did not have the check for the full amount in his hand that same day, then he would see us in court and also be there in the morning to rip up the patio. Trying to diffuse the situation, we had Josh come look at the patio and perform his puddling fix. It reduced (but not fully fixed) the puddle size, but it also further drained water to the house. Reaching a point where we were not willing to continue working with Josh, we discussed a final discount and agreed that Josh would fix the surrounding damage from the job. Overnight Josh changed his mind about the agreed upon discount and offered only a $150 off from the original contracted price. Too exhausted to continue working with him, we paid and the other issues were never taken care of.

Josh was awesome to work with and did a tremendous job with our patio, sidewalk and driveway extension! He listened to our initial plans, gave us some recommendations based on his experience and ideas, and the final outcome is like a piece of art. The Madison, Huntsville area has a lot of construction companies so picking someone of quality was hard at first. So, I did my research and decided that a smaller company, where the owner is involved at each step of the process, was most important to us. After reading a few reviews from various sites, seeing all the awards from home advisor and talking with Josh about what we wanted to do, I decided this was by best choice.

Josh did an amazing job on our driveway extension. He walked me through the steps, helped me pick out the right finishes and gave me options that might be useful to the project. I also had a few changes in my design along the way, but Josh was real easy to work with and he never showed irritation in my changes. There was mutual respect from the start and I really appreciated being included in the process. I could tell the work he did and the care he gave was custom to my needs.

We had a fence put in by a different company a few weeks before Josh started on our driveway. They used subcontractors who were unprofessional and did not communicate well with me. In fact they started on the project without even verifying that it was my house. That's what I wanted to avoid when I was looking for concrete work and I'm very happy at the inclusiveness and professionalism that Josh showed.

At the end of the day, all of that is nice, but it comes down to the quality of work, right? He did such a good job. He leveled it so it would drain appropriately, matched it up to my fence for future expansion, he educated me on proper treatment for longevity, he taped off my house and other obstacles in the way to ensure that he didn't damage anything around it, etc. From start to finish Josh provided me with exactly the kind of care and quality in work that I expected. In my mind, I'm not just paying for the concrete, I'm paying for the care that goes into. Josh was worth every cent. I highly recommend him!
