Started with a bid request for some concrete and masonry work. I was quoted $3100 ($1100 down payment) and I thought it was lowish, but I was concerned with a family medical issue, potential job loss, etc so I didn't do my due diligence. They came in and found one of my walls was cracked. I eventually agreed to the job ($8100 - overpriced I think) completed and paid in full. Then came another underpinning job with high-pressure tactics. I wasn't happy with the price ($8800) but completed and paid in full.I paid $1000 more to help with the original project. They then said they were going to come in on Monday (Aug 11) and finish the job. They needed to add rebar and PSI concrete ($6600 too much for a small job). Then they said they could do the rebar only for $4400 - I said no.They then left the site and messaged me that they cannot continue unless rebar is used. They left garbage and materials on site. I asked for the $2100 back as they did little work on the original job. No response.
Awesome material
