DO NOT TRUST DALE HOSFORD!!!I had Hosford brothers out last year to pour concrete around my house. When Dale was trying to sell me the job, he was so nice and convincing. He told me if it's cracked in a year they'll be out to tear it out and replace. I figured someone who stands behind their work like that is someone I want doing the work. 5 months later I have a 10' crack running through the middle of my patio. I called Dale and told him about it. He came over and the first thing he said was, "Sean, all concrete cracks." I reminded him that he told me they'll fix it if it cracks as quick as it did. He literally tried to gaslight me and tell me how good it looks and how they did a great job and said they can't just rip up every job they pour and replace it because it immediately cracked. He's a con man pushing sloppy work for big money!*Update*I now have a 40 foot long crack running the entire length of the concreat pad hosford bros poured. People, do yourselves a huge favor and use a different company! Their work is horrible!
We had Hosford Brothers Concrete do all of our concrete from our basement, flat work, driveway, and our beautiful patio. We cannot say enough about their work. Dustin is a perfectionist he checks on his crews work, and double checks it. He works along side his crew guiding them. They are here when they say they are going to be. I chose Hosford Bros in 2018 because they were the most responsive when I was looking for a company to re-pave my driveway. It required coordinating with an excavation company and a landscaping company. I had a difficult time getting other companies to respond, and I came away thinking Hosford Bros. had excellent customer service. Now, 6.5 years later, my main impression is what a terrible job they did on my driveway. It is falling apart, even though I have never once put salt on it and we don't have heavy vehicles. There was a long crack on it within a year. Now there are chunks falling out of it. The driveway looks far worse than those of neighbors who replaced theirs 20+ years ago. I know Hosford can do decent work, because the section of sidewalk they replaced still looks perfect. I assume that's because they had to meet East Lansing standards for that section and so they did. But I feel like I got a raw deal on the driveway.
I recently got some new flatwork done at our rear sidewalk area and I could not be more pleased. Hosford was so professional from the very first visit to get the bid until the finished product. Quality of work is excellent and the pricing was more than fair. Thanks again for the superb job!!
