Ben and his team of guys were absolutely wonderful. They had to rebuild a wing wall and fix some brick on my house. Ben came out as scheduled for the consultation and had the job finished a few weeks later. This was after contacting other masonary companies with no answer. I liked that this was a family owned company. The guys took their time and made sure the wing wall was exactly how I wanted it done. If you are looking for good, skilled, professional brick layers they didn't disappoint.
Ben and his team did a fabulous job of picking up the pieces from another masonry contractor who ghosted and robbed us! Krivda is the only masonry company I would work with again after such a strikingly different experience than we previously had.Ben and his crew removed a crumbling lintel on our porch entryway and painstakingly cleaned and reused all the original brick to our historical home exterior. Let me tell you about the Krivdas.You can learn how to be an excellent mason, and I’m sure Ben did. You can learn how to bid jobs, and I’m sure Ben did. You can learn how to provide customer service, and I’m sure Ben did.But ethics? Integrity? You pretty much have them or you don’t.After first being given the okay for a building project, we were told by a city official that we had to have masonry work done after all—at an estimated cost of $20,000 to $25,000. We called Krivdas, and Ben came out to give us a bid. He spent a lot of time poking around trying to figure out how to save us money without sacrificing quality. He came a second time and rechecked some things. Result: that work was not needed after all, and we got our permit.Of course we got lucky. The point is, though, Ben had the official word that the work was required for our project to continue. If he had not bothered to conduct his own investigation or, worse, if he had just decided to go ahead with the job, we would never have known the difference. Instead, Krivda and Son received nothing because their estimates are free. Integrity!
Ben, Chris, and the whole Krivda team did a fantastic job reworking the front of my stone bungalow. Each stone was carefully removed to expose the walls beneath, then replaced in order with new tuck pointing to seamlessly blend with the rest of the house front. I highly recommend Krivda & Son Masonry!
Krivda and Son Masonry did repair work on my basement foundation. The first picture isn't the truest representation of what the wall was like before, as they had chiseled out some of the old mortar to allow for a better hold on newly placed mortar. That said, though the removal of the mortar makes the wall look scary, the quality work they did made even the pre-work state look awful by comparison. Krivda was fast, professional, and great to work with. Being a local company, they were also honest, reasonably priced, and did the work the right way - I had a structural engineer come out to tell me what was required for the wall and Krivda met every need. I know that if I or a friend ever have an issue again, that I'll be recommending and calling Krivda and Son Masonry!
