I would highly recommend using venture concrete for any patio install. The front office was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and Hunter did an excellent job. Hunter got my quote and job scheduled quickly and walked me through everything to make sure I was comfortable. The patio came out exactly as we wanted and we look forward to enjoying some good times on it. The entire experience was super easy and I thought well priced.
I hired Venture Concrete for a slab for a prefab shed.The initial layout required close supervision. The forms were initially set significantly out of square with the house and had to be corrected before the pour.The control joints were also not executed as expected. Instead of clean, narrow cuts appropriate for a finished interior slab, the joints were oversized and later required remediation with polyurea.The remediation process was delayed multiple times. What should have been a short follow-up scope extended to roughly two months, and nearly three months including permit closeout due to licensing delays.When they eventually returned, they brought insufficient material and left two joint sections incomplete (two segments out of seven). The joints that were filled were not finished cleanly and have a rough, uneven appearance.When the material ran short, responsibility was shifted to me, despite material estimation and completion of scope being the contractor’s responsibility. They also proposed switching to a different product mid-job rather than completing the work as originally specified.Additionally, they did not complete required City of North Charleston business licensing despite several reminders from me, which delayed permit closeout and ultimately required me to resolve (and pay) it myself.Due to the delays and incomplete work, I was left managing the final steps of the project as I approached a scheduled surgery.Overall, this project required far more oversight than it should have, and follow-through and project completion fell short of what was agreed. I would not hire them again.
Complete driveway install. Good communication. Hunter stayed in touch for six months until I was ready to make the decision. On time and completed the install in one day!
Every aspect of estimate, preparation, installation and clean up were professional and the process seamless. I had a tired, broken, ugly driveway and walkways —they were removed and replaced with 22 yards of fresh concrete. The camaraderie and craftsmanship of the four men completing the work was actually a bit awe inspiring. They arrived at 8 on a Friday, worked nonstop for 10 hours, returned Saturday morning leaving about noon with a beautiful project complete and no construction trash or installation scars left behind. So far beyond my expectations.
