McCabe's Landscape Construction

From our initial meeting with the founder of McCabe's, John, to the design meeting with the owner, Melissa and the numerous interactions with the support staff such as Diana and Luis, the whole process has been both seamless and professional. The project, at our new home in Fallbrook , encompassed landscaping, hardscaping, pool construction, irrigation and lighting. To add to the complexity, the entire build process was done whilst we were out of the US. We were kept updated regularly with calls, photos and videos so that we felt part of the process. We recently hired McCabe’s Landscape to transform the yard of our new construction home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. In the backyard, they did a massive amount of prep work, tilling the soil and getting it ready for Bermuda grass and a new garden. They also fixed some messy concrete work left behind by a previous company, which really polished off the look of the space. It’s now the perfect spot for our dog to run around and for us to hang out day or night. For the front yard, they pulled out the basic builder plants and replaced them with a beautiful variety of colorful annuals. They even suggested Kurapia as a ground cover so it wasn’t just a sea of mulch, which was a creative touch we hadn't even considered. What stood out to us: The Planning: The 3D rendering in their office was a game-changer. Being able to see the design and make "in the moment" changes helped us feel confident before they even started digging. The Crew: The communication was excellent. From the office team to the project manager and the foreman who was here every day, we always knew what was happening. Cleanliness: They were incredibly respectful of our property, cleaning up tools every evening. On the last day, they even pressure washed all the hard surfaces so everything was sparkling for the final walkthrough. If you’re looking for a team that is knowledgeable, efficient, and has a great eye for design, I highly recommend McCabe’s. They turned our blank slate of a yard into a space we actually love.

From our first phone call we were treated like royalty. We can only give 5 stars but I think they deserve 100 stars. They came in at the price quoted, were always on the job, answered any questions and concerns with understanding and politeness. The job they did was beyond our expectations and we would recommend them to everyone wholeheartedly .

From start to finish this team was awesome. I know what I like and had an idea but I needed help transforming it into my backyard. The design team did amazing and gave me beautiful options. To stay in budget we had to take some things out but my dusty backyard is now transformed into a beautiful landscape. I cannot wait for my trees to grow in and see what they all look like established. The crew was respectful and clean and did great.

We are very happy with our backyard done by McCabes!!!! From start to finish it was a very smooth and easy process. They are one stop shop and take care of all your hardscaping and landscaping needs. Initial consultation with John was great ?? He is proud of what his company does and has great knowledge and tips in regard to plants. Whole team is amazing! Very knowledgeable and professional! Shopper beware, John and the office staff do a great job selling the contract but everything after that is a disappointing struggle. The start date was pushed twice, and asking questions while the work was getting done was akin to pulling teeth. The initial final product looked great and the workers did a great job, but after the office staff got me to sign the contract I did not feel like I was a priory at all. I have over 5 plants/ bushes that have died and had someone come out over 45 days ago to do a post work inspection... that I had to call for to get set up. Still no one was come out to help with warranty. Mccabes charges as if your going to get the highest quality care but I have been ultimately disappointed. The work gets done but don't expect the company to care after you sign the contract, they push to have you talk to the Forman for all questions and concerns. Pro tip!! communicate through email as much as possible! because they "forget" conversations that I had to prove we had, example; the reasons I hired the company. Seriously, I had to justify that we talked about why I hired them because they "didn't remember the conversation and said I should have brought up my concerns earlier" I had to prove that I did.
