Beware of Groundworks! When Ron visited our home to provide a quote, he made a promise that we would never experience water in the basement again after the job was completed. We informed him that we had a Radon system, emphasizing the need for professional work. However, each time the team arrived, they seemed surprised by this information. We hired Groundworks to install a sump pump and gutter drain system after obtaining three quotes from different contractors, expecting professional work and peace of mind. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. They visited our home not once, not twice, but three times to redo and fix problems. Each time a new team arrived to address the issues, they appeared to be uninformed about their purpose. Anthony, the supervisor, expressed reluctance to intervene between my husband and his crew. Following each visit, no supervisor contacted us to inquire about our satisfaction with the job. This company demonstrated a complete lack of communication and knowledge throughout the process, making it frustratingly difficult to obtain updates or even basic responses. The most significant concern, however, was the horrible quality of work. Their installation was poorly executed, and after the third visit, the first day of rain resulted in water in the basement. Considering the substantial amount Groundworks invests in their commercials, they would be better served allocating those funds to train their personnel. I was forced to take seven days off work due to this ordeal and spent time relocating my belongings and cleaning my basement time after time as despite Ron's promises, the area was not left spotless. I wish I had never hired Groundworks.
My niece just purchased a home which had water coming into her basement due to an old, faulty sump pump. We called around to get estimates and found Nick to be the most knowledgeable and reasonably priced estimate. From start to finish, Groundwork was the way to go. Isaiah, Clayton, and Lamar were absolutely OUTSTANDING! They were all very hard & professional workers who were friendly and helpful. Isaiah was truly exceptional in his explanation of what was taking place every step of the way. He eased any concerns we had, and remedied the water issue. We definitely recommend Groundworks for quality workmanship and would use them again.
