Reviews note a mix of experiences. Many homeowners highlight responsive communication, punctual estimates, and hard-working crews that complete backyard and patio transformations. Others report concerns about finish quality, surface issues, clean-up, and difficulty reaching the company after projects. Overall ratings reflect both strong project outcomes and some inconsistency in workmanship and follow-up.
Bottom line: I believe Gage Colombo has good intentions, but based on my personal experience, I do not believe he currently has the experience, resources, or expertise necessary to consistently deliver the quality of work that homeowners should expect.Last year, I contracted with Buffalo Niagara Concrete to replace a porch and patio at my home. I obtained three bids. Two were relatively close in price, including Buffalo Niagara Concrete, while a third contractor's bid was approximately $20,000 higher. Ultimately, after change orders and additional costs, my final investment was close to the highest bid, but unfortunately the results did not meet my expectations.Throughout the project, there were a number of issues that concerned me. The job site was often left messy, cleanup was inconsistent, and damage occurred to my driveway, a section of the public street, and parts of my yard. Concrete was splattered onto my home's siding, and despite multiple attempts, I have never been able to completely remove it.Initially, the finished project looked acceptable. However, significant problems developed during the first winter. The concrete on the rear patio began experiencing spalling and surface deterioration. I documented the issues with photographs and contacted Gage. After several follow-ups, he and the owner of the concrete supplier visited the property to inspect the work. They reviewed the defects and indicated they would develop a remediation plan and get back to me after Easter.Unfortunately, despite multiple follow-up attempts, I never received a response or proposed solution.Separately, I spoke with the owner of the concrete company. According to our discussion, several factors may have contributed to the problems, including:1 The concrete placement process was slower than ideal, which may have affected the finished product.2 Additional water was reportedly added during the pour.3 The sealant used was not the product recommended by the concrete supplier.4 Certain areas may have benefited from additional reinforcement to reduce movement and cracking.5 Not enough sealant was used or it was applied to late in certain areas.Based on his assessment, the recommended solution was to remove and replace the affected sections of concrete. After receiving no further communication regarding repairs, I decided to pursue another solution on my own.I am sharing this experience so that other homeowners can make an informed decision when selecting a contractor. This is simply my personal experience, and others may have had different results. However, based on the quality of work, the issues that developed, and the lack of follow-up regarding corrective action, I would not choose this contractor again.
Would not recommend, pictures of my house are used in advertising for my backyard patio. That's why I hired Gage to do my driveway in 2024. A year later all the colors are fading from the patio. The driveway has severe pitting and cracked less than 2 years later. The crew left a mess. There is concrete splattered all over my siding that won't come.off. Afterwards Gage stopped responding to texts and calls. Would not recommend. Subpar quality work.
Gage and his team are amazing! From the start of having him come give us an estimate, showed up on time when he said he would. Signed contract gave date when the work would be completed. Even though we weren’t having the job done for 2 months, he stayed in constant communication and answered all messages immediately. Showed up when the job was to be completed. Him and his team are super friendly and professional. Hard workers for sure!
We had Buffalo Niagara Concrete transform our backyard and we couldn't be happier with the end result! They demolished an existing patio structure and pool and replaced with concrete. Gage worked very hard to make sure everything was what we wanted and took everything into consideration when it came to drainage concerns we had. His crew was great too. They were very knowledgeable and really rallied to help Gage get the job done. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. The project was done in a timely fashion so I could have a new structure built before the weather turns. Not to mention it was a reasonable price! I highly recommend Gage(Buffalo Niagara Concrete). He is a genuine guy for sure.
We recently needed to replace our 30-year-old patio and after getting several estimates, decided to go with Buffalo Niagara Concrete to do the job and am I glad we did.Gage came over, did the measurements and gave his recommendations and after getting the estimate, we moved forward. His crew was the hardest working group of guys I've seen in a long time. Friendly, on time, always available for questions and worked around our schedules, which was a challenge in itself. The job got done in a timely and methodical manner and the results were amazing. Plus, their estimate came in at least 30% lower than our next closest proposal.Thank you Gage and crew, for a job well done. We appreciate your work and the results.I highly recommend Buffalo Niagara Concrete.
