We've had the pleasure of working with Galvin and Sons Masonry on four projects around our property over the last few years. We have 3 ceramic silos from the 1920's on our property which were greatly in need of repair. Jason and his team took incredible care to insure that the silos were restored to their original glory. The worked with us to find a creative and appropriate solution to replace missing tiles, which are no longer available. Their solution was realistic and visually pleasing. We've also used Galvin and Sons for two large roofing projects . They worked with us to find a shingle that looked great on our barns. The projects were completed in record time. The crew worked to accommodate the needs of our operational business while on site which took all stress off of us to make sure operations could continue as necessary. They always left the property spotless when the projects were complete. I can't recommend these guys enough. Hire them, you won't regret it.
My chimney needed repointing and flashing after years of water problems and silicone repairs. Galvin and Sons were kind, responsive, didn't try to scare me into a rebuild I didn't need, did a beautiful job with high quality material, and took pictures along the way to show exactly what was done. During the historic torrential rains in Western MA in July of 2023, my 1850s stone foundation basement was suffering unprecedented severe leakage and water infiltration. Based on the positive Google reviews of Galvin and Sons Masonry, I called them for a quote on foundation repair and watersealing. My call was returned promptly, and Jason even came to my house on a Sunday evening because of my busy schedule. I received the quote promptly and was told that my work would be done in October or November, given the many jobs on their schedule. In early September, Jason wrote to share that they could begin my work the following day due to rescheduling of jobs based on weather conditions. Jason and his Dad arrived promptly the following day, and completed the job in 1.5 days. My "new" basement looks great, and will prevent infiltration of pests as well as water. I had a minor issue with some water infiltration after the first big storm following the work; Jason responded promptly and remedied the leak. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work, and on a personal level Jason and his Dad were a joy to work with.
Honest, Gentlemen, Craftsmen. Three words that I don't use lightly. Jason and his dad epitomize the definition of those three words. Galvin & Sons Masonry have done work at my home and my mothers home. The chimney repair at my house is invisible. Look around at your neighbors chimneys and I bet you can see a line where there chimney was repaired. Good luck finding the repair at my house. My moms front steps were peeling with bad paint and crumbling with a bad home repair. I feared replacing the steps or covering them in expensive stone were the only options. After Jason and his dad were done they look new and at a fraction of the cost I was expecting. If you want a good laugh, ask Jason about squirrels and lead chimney flashing!
