Archer Masonry produced a fantastic fireplace for us. We couldn't be more pleased with their workmanship and the level of care they put into the project.We had a 40 year old adobe brick fireplace and they refaced it a The blend of Sonoma Cream and Sonoma Gold stone. They also added a reclaimed wood mantle we purchased from Vintage Timberworks in Rainbow, CA. The hearth and firebox floor were raised to 12" and they even made the corbels from the same stone.Pete Sr, Pete Jr, and Beau all worked diligently on the project and cleaned up each night before leaving. Pete Archer and his sons Pete Jr. and Beau worked at my house for 7 months on a very large indoor home remodel and outdoor living addition. On the exterior, the project included the following:- Dry stack ledger stone on building wainscot- Dry stack ledger stone on two chimney structures- Dry stack ledger stone on a beautiful fireplace- Dry stack ledger stone on an outdoor bar- Natural stone retaining wall cap- Natural stone pool coping- Dry stack quartzite pool facing- Pool tile installation at waterline- Outdoor fire pit and seating area- Thousands of square feet of flagstone paving and pool deckOn the interior a beautiful dry stack mixture of ledge stone on a butler's pantry and structural columns.Pete and his sons are true masonry artisans. Each stone on our job was custom fit into place and the end result is stunning. People that visit our house speak of the quality and can certainly tell the difference between a job well done and one where the stones are carelessly mortared into place.If I ever need any stone work done in the future, I would most certainly have Pete and his sons do the job.
