Had these gentlemen do some parging and foundation work along the exterior of my home. Excellent craftsmanship, positive interactions each step of the way with Gregory himself, and his crew. His team took the time to explain the work completed and answered any and all questions I had. Even showing me before and after pictures. They take pride in what they do and it is evident. Should I need anything done around my home again that is within the scope of their work, I won't hesitate to call. Would highly recommend.

The Companions of the Cross owns a gorgeous and sizable double wythe brick building which projects distinctive character due to its age and magnificent second empire architecture which is set upon a rubblestone foundation. Although we have worked with a few different contractors in the past to preserve the building’s envelope from water penetration and enhance its overall aesthetics, recently (spring 2026) we decided to “cast our nets” a little wider. And, I must say, I am certainly glad that we did.

D’Agui Masonry operates like a finely tuned machine. The written quote arrived promptly and meticulously itemized after the initial site visit by the company’s owner, Gregory. No time was wasted once the notably impressive masonry crew arrived at our property (advance notice having been provided) with all the required materials. Each logistical detail was efficiently prearranged. Everything happened like precision clockwork in a highly adept manner.

Unlike previous masons, they accurately matched the existing vintage bricks (Upper Canada Heritage), Indiana limestone windowsills, and the various tints of mortar for different masonry joints. Despite the inherent complexities of our aged building (e.g., significant heights, confined spaces, tall load-bearing brick pillars, antique wrought iron railings, and premium custom wood surfaces which needed to be shielded), D’Agui Masonry did not disappoint. They delivered conscientious and high-quality masonry workmanship at a competitive price point. The total dollar amount was lower than that which had been quoted by a local and familiar competitor.

The jobsite was immaculate when they departed. The owner, Gregory, phoned to ensure customer satisfaction. The final invoice arrived by email later that same day - within an hour after the work had been completed. Overall company rating: A+ (5-stars) - Todd

I had been out of the province, and I came back to find almost an inch of water in one corner of my basement. After troubleshooting I couldn’t figure out where the leak was coming from, and of course my first thought was “Oh Lord, the foundation!” And the thought that a repair was going to cost me $20K! I went through some online sites to find that D’Agui was highly rated and recommended. So I thought I’d give them a go, to see if their free estimate could tell me what was going on. Gregory D’Agui came 2 days later and he was so personable and knowledgeable, I was thoroughly impressed. He diagnosed the issue (it was coming in from a now, non-functional chimney stack; previously used when the furnace used oil many years ago) and later that day, Gregory sent an estimate that saw the problem get resolved for less than $4K. I signed the estimate and the team showed up 2 days later. Within a few hours they had capped off the chimney and fixed any issues they found at the join with the house and in the mortar between the bricks. A day later, a major rainstorm came through the area and my basement was as dry as a bone. The team worked fast and cleaned up everything. They showed me their work and I was quite impressed with their work ethic and again, excellent communication.

I’ve contracted D’Agui Masonry on two separate occasions. Last year, we had them repoint a huge step crack that had formed many years ago on an exterior wall, replace damaged/weathered bricks on our 60+ year old home, install a galvanized drip guard on the top of the fireplaces and install concrete sills under our windows. The work really refreshed the look of our house. Recently (July 2025) D’Agui parged two foundation walls where the parging had failed, and they re-caped our two chimneys. On both occasions, they gave a thorough quotation for the work, quoted a fair price, and I was extremely happy with the masonry work they completed. To be honest it surpassed my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked. The team worked quickly; completed the work on time; they were friendly and very respectful to me and to my neighbours; and they cleaned up the work site thoroughly when the work was completed.
