Honestly as home owner for 4 years now, Modern concrete has been one of the better contractors my wife and I have delt with over the years. They were very honest, knowledgeable in their trade, and efficient once they began the job.We hired Modern concrete to replace our driveway and entryway due to our old concrete cracking in several places and soil erosion underneath the slab. This was decided over just using poly-jacking or mud-jacking which would be somewhat of a temporary fix.It did take Modern concrete several weeks from initial consultation to start of work, which is understandable due to scheduling and weather set backs, they are a smaller company I believe.They do require an up-front deposit, however, all terms are well written in a legal and formal contract, as opposed to some smaller mom-and-pop companies, so there were no worries of them walking off with our money, which I have had happen before with another contractor.Juan, the manager if not owner I believe, was extremely friendly, and provided us some great advice regarding decisions we had made about the color scheme we chose for our sidewalk and entryway staining. Juan informed us that our initial staining color choice would clash with the current color of our house and also the gray plain driveway, which was great to know as they could have just stained it whatever color we asked and we might have regretted the decision later down the road.It was also very pleasing to see that Juan was actually out on the job assisting with the work himself most of the day. The crew was very speedy, took pride in their work, and left behind no trace of construction debris or tools. They took the necessary precautions to protect our house and yards where applicable.In total, it took them 4 days from start to completion to replace our 2-car driveway, sidewalk, and front entryway porch. We got estimates from at-least 3 different companies before we chose to hire modern concrete and their pricing was the most competitive and best value for the services we chose.One recommendation, if you're reading this review and are also considering hiring modern concrete, one crucial step you will have to keep in mind after your job is complete is back-filling more soil around the concrete slabs to ensure water doesn't get underneath your new concrete.OVERALL GREAT COMPANY DEFINETLEY WOULD USE AGAIN.
We could not be more happy with the results. Juan, Caleb and their crew gave us a beautiful back patio. Fair pricing and friendly. Everything was explained to us up front and there was no surprises. We will definitely use them for any future concrete needs.
We've used them not once, not twice, but three times. Always competitive, always good work. Last time they were so busy they had a very long lead time before they could get started on our project, but that's what happens when the market is hot and you've got a good reputation. Caleb is the glue that keeps the company running and he was always very patient with us. ^_^ Just be clear with what you want from them, and you'll get it. :-)
Recently had Caleb and Juan lay our 400 Sq foot stamped cement patio. From start to finish the team did an excellent job. Very professional, prompt in answering all questions and hard working. The crew that did the work did an outstanding job and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get some cement work done at either their home or business.
