Our 17 year old Silver Maple was destroying our sidewalk as well 3 blocks of our neighbor's sidewalk. It was a beautiful tree, especially in the fall. But in less than 10 years it was starting to crack our sidewalk and part of our neighbor's.We finally decided we had to have the tree removed and the sidewalk repaired. Davey Tree Service cut down the tree and left a large stump about 2.5 feet wide and large exposed roots. Based on several recommendations, we hired Mark Concrete to dig up the old sidewalk. Davey came back the next day to "grind the stump", and Mark was back the following morning to put in the new sidewalk. Mark Concrete did a beautiful, artistic job. Swirls were painstakingly created. Curves around the vents added a distinctive touch. The crew was very professional and respectful.We are delighted with the finished job, and will definitely call them again if we have any other cement/concrete needs.Side note: Lisa in the front office was wonderful to work with, coordinating schedules and making the whole project easy for us.
Mark has done several repairs and restorations of our large (corner lot) sidewalks. Each time, the work has been done carefully, efficiently, and utterly professionally. Neighbors and passersby always comment positively on the work and how good it looks. They are right.
These guys aren't just craftsmen, they're artisans. What got me was watching one of the crew work and re-work portions of the cement eight or ten times until it was perfect. In the finished sidewalk you can see it in the details...of how each edge and level is treated, but also in subtle but important choices like where to place the break-lines. They arrived promptly at 7:30 each morning and got to work...not leaving until that day's task was tied off and everything cleaned up. The photos tell the story. So now we and our neighbors have this little bit of beauty gracing the front of our homes, that will be here or us, our children and our grandchildren. What a gift. We couldn't be happier with Mark and hats off to an amazing crew who obviously put pride in their work as their highest priority.
We had our backyard patio replaced because it wasn’t draining properly to the drain. Dave annd his crew are fantastic. They were professional. They were on time. They were very very nice and they did a fantastic job. We’re gonna be having our retaining wall replaced next year and we’re definitely going to use Mark Cement Contractors
Very professional services. I had my sidewalk+curb replaced and they arrived bright and early on the dates confirmed. The price is reasonable for the high quality, precise and beautiful design. They even added their signature border design on the sidewalk. Took about 2 days for the replacement and installation. They worked efficiently.
