We recently hired Stone Design Masonry for a chimney repair and a complete rebuild of our brick staircase, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Mark and his team are true professionals who take pride in their work. They didn’t cut corners and made sure the job was done right, even when it required spending extra time to ensure everything was perfect. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding—our chimney looks sturdy and flawless, and the brick staircase has new life. If you’re looking for skilled masons who truly care about quality, look no further than Stone Design Masonry. Highly recommended.

Whitney Sperrazza

Highly recommend Stone Design Masonry! We hired Mark's team to clean up our furnace chimney after exposing it for a remodel. I sent some photos over to Mark and with a phone call it was clear - he's professional with just an immense amount of masonry expertise. He sent out two guys for the project and they did an excellent job, all in one day! Thank you, all, for your work! (Before & After photos included)

We have worked with Mark and his team for years! His most recent projects are our outdoor gazebo and indoor fireplace. Each completed at different times, Mark and his crew were always prompt, courteous, and careful to clean up any and all work areas at the end of the day. When choosing stone, he gave us recommendations not just based on products offered, but how they would perform and last over time, really giving us an education and helping us love what we chose. His prices are fair, his work is excellent, and he treats each project like it’s at his own house. He will not settle for anything less than perfection. Mark has the passion and skills of an old school mason; it’s not just a job, it’s his craft. I’m amazed at how much I love our finished projects. I can’t thank Mark and his crew enough for their dedication to being as outstanding as they are.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Stone Design Masonry inspect chimneys?

The inspection starts with a visual check from the ground; if there is extensive visual damage, the team inspects further with a drone.

What should homeowners know about full-depth natural stone?

Full-depth natural stone is heavier than cultured stone and requires a specific type of foundation; that may add project costs.

What materials does Stone Design Masonry use on historic repairs?

For many 18th- and 19th-century structures, the company says cleaning, additions and repairs should use the same materials as the original work, including sand and lime where those were used. Its team also says it uses lime putty for Frenchman and Englishman jointing.

How does Stone Design Masonry coordinate commercial projects?

It works in partnership with clients and other contractors on jobs for small or large buildings.
