Customer feedback is mixed. Positive notes mention punctual starts on some jobs, neat finishing, and clear step-by-step communication. Critical reviews cite scheduling delays, difficulty reaching the contractor for updates, and issues on stamped work such as height, alignment, or missing color/sealer. Setting detailed expectations and checking progress milestones appears important for a smooth result.

Puzzco Contractor did an excellent job on our cement masonry project. Their team laid the blocks and poured the concrete with great precision, and the finished work looks clean, level, and very professional. They paid close attention to detail, made sure everything was properly reinforced, and followed all safety and building standards. What I appreciated most was their reliability and communication. They showed up on time, kept the job site organized, and explained each step of the masonry process so we knew what to expect. The work was completed on schedule and within the agreed budget, with no surprises. If you’re looking for a skilled and trustworthy contractor for cement masonry—whether for foundations, walls, or outdoor structures—I highly recommend Puzzco Contractor. You’ll be very happy with the quality of their work.

Puzco Contractor did an outstanding job on our recent project! From the very beginning, their team was professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with. They took the time to explain each step of the process, offered fair pricing, and followed through on every promise. The attention to detail in their work really shows—they treat your home like it’s their own. What stood out the most was how organized and efficient they were. They finished on schedule, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and made sure we were completely satisfied before wrapping up. It’s rare to find a company that delivers both high-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service, but Puzzco Contractor truly does.I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, skilled professionals for any home construction or renovation project. You’ll be glad you called them!

Worst contractor I have ever dealt with. Offered me a great deal on stamped concrete, put off the project for weeks and only came when I contacted him, made my front patio an eyesore, poured concrete so high that my front screen door could not open and left concrete all over the screen door, the stamping didnt align leaving it looking embarrassing, never colored or sealed the concrete as we agreed upon, and then acted like he did me a favor. How this person has an 3.7 star rating is inconceivable. Avoid at all costs.

Mike Sanchez on PUZCO CONTRACTING

I'm sharing my recent experience selecting Mr. Puzey for work at my property. When I paid the deposit, I said keeping me informed is very important, and to stay in contact with me on updates to your job, delays, etc. He would not do so; every day, I had to reach out or ask when he was supposed to show up and what he was doing or going to complete day over day.
Mr. Puzey represented himself as someone who could finish the job quoted in 3-4 days; his terms were half down and the other half when complete. Before starting, I asked if he could get a close match with my home being older and the fact that rain was forecasted towards the end of the week. He assured me he could complete the job before the rain and get a remarkably close match. He said he would leave my yard clean and not leave a mess, and I would be happy with his work. On the second day of work, he told me that he had broken his phone and that reaching was challenging. However, I did get his messages when he was on the property to give him access. For the next two days, I had messages to prove it; he wanted to pay for materials even though I had already paid half down. I politely refused, and he apologized and stated it was a worker issue, not a “paying-for-materials” issue. The project got pushed out ten days; I admit I was not available for him to work for 4 days, but he had already run over his original time to complete, did not beat the weather, and provided several excuses. There was even a point where I called the police on him for trespassing because he said he was coming out to finish work; I told him that if he could not do so, that was fine. He said it would only take 20 mins, and he was late 40 mins outside his own time quoted. I asked him not to come to my property, and he still did. Needless to say, when I asked him to leave, he called me a pain in the ass, and I told him that only he and his excuses were standing between him getting things done and paid. Even the police commented that the brickwork was poor. This past Saturday, he showed up between the agreed time and 30 minutes in; I got a message saying he was done. The walls were still wet, and I couldn’t tell if he cleaned them up. I had to ask him to go around the property and look at the work with me to “finish up.” he didn’t even look at the other side, which had more work. My phone goes off again in 20 minutes, saying he is done. He left a mess in my alley cleaning his tools, nails in the yard, string, mortar mix, and even used buckets of mine, which would not have been important, but he left them a mess. His voice had no shame; he did not even ask to use my things. At this point, I needed him off my property; he tried acting like he had no idea there was a mess. I guess in his mind, he was getting back at me. Ultimately, he asked if I was happy, and I said no. He wondered what he could do to fix it, and I said nothing at this point; you want to leave every chance you get, and we both know you are not done. I wished him the best of luck.
Nathan Puzey, the owner, can be a solid worker, but he is not a professional. He patted himself on the back more than anyone I have ever seen. His excuses were many, and I read similar reviews a year before I hired him, but I figured he must have gotten himself together at this point, with recent reviews gushing and vague. The truth is no, that is the way he works. He is unreliable, and at least when folks ask me why things look the way they do, I can say that I did it myself vs. saying I paid for this.
Needless to say, there are several lessons learned here. First, having a BBB membership does not make you accredited, which does not go far in getting resolutions if there are problems. Second, the police department lists problematic contractors; if you call, you can talk about folks you might have in mind. Third, if offered a discount to gain your business, walk away. From my experience, I would not recommend Nathan Puzey of Puzco Contracting in the future.
