When it came time to remodel our mid-century modern home we interviewed and received proposals from six different contractors. Most of the contractors gave us very brief proposals with just a total cost and very little documentation. In contrast, Jon from G Family inspected our house inside and out, reviewed the architectural plans, then put together a thoroughly professional bid that clearly detailed all aspects of the project with their specific costs. His attention to detail made G Family an easy choice. It was a pleasure working with the G Family team, especially Jon, co-owner, Angeleah, interior design consultant, Sunil, our project manager and Juan, the tile foreman. The entire G Family team was very professional, punctual and courteous as well as dedicated to producing a quality product. Jon and Sunil were very responsive when questions arose about the project. G Family’s professional experience really paid off. We had to deal with several code upgrades and town building department requirements. Jon devised creative solutions that addressed the issues without significantly impacting the cost or schedule. Because they are a full-service contractor, G Family was able to guide us through many of the project details. This helped reduce the stress of all the decisions that needed to be made. Despite warnings from friends and neighbors that a major remodel like ours would go over schedule and cost at least double the original quote, the project finished on time and within our budget. We are extremely pleased with our “new” home and so happy that we chose G Family to do our remodel. We highly recommend them. We would not hesitate to work with them on future projects.

We hired G Family Construction to execute our Yardzen-designed backyard, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. They were also incredibly collaborative in helping dial in the details: when certain elements exceeded our budget, they provided practical alternatives and helped create a phased plan so we could add features later. Execution matched the planning. Communication was clear, updates were frequent, and when inevitable snags arose, they took the time to explain options and trade-offs. They even diplomatically guided me away from a bad design choice using their experience—absolutely the right call in hindsight. They also handled HOA-required changes without billing extra or anything like that. G Family isn’t the cheapest, but the value is worth it. They were accountable, invested, and genuinely treated the project like it was their own backyard. Beyond the craftsmanship, they’re just great, down-to-earth people to work with. Our once-underutilized yard is now a beautiful outdoor living space we use every day. I highly recommend G Family Construction!

We used G Family to do a full, down to the studs, remodel of our home. We partnered with Jon all the way through - from bid to final billing, and his great team. We found them to be thorough in their bidding (get your plans as dialed as you can), very honest, and detailed. The quality of their work is top-notch. Their team is extremely professional, hard-working, and diligent. They work with long standing sub-contractors who honestly feel like they are part of the G Family Team. We were especially happy and impressed with our Project Manager, Sunil. He was our go-to as the project was in the final stages, and worked with their team to complete the punch list items quickly and efficiently. We would absolutely hire them again for another project.

G Family Construction built a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom, and office addition for us, and the results speak for themselves. They finished on time and within budget, but what really stands out is the quality of the final work. Juan, their in-house tile expert, is a magician. His attention to detail and skill transformed our bathrooms and floors into something special. It’s rare to find a construction company with this level of expertise under their own roof—no subcontracting out the finish work to whoever’s available. Juan’s craftsmanship elevated the entire project. Dave, the owner and designer, visited every other week to monitor progress and make suggestions. Franklin and our project manager Dani kept everything running smoothly, and the team was flexible when we needed last-minute changes. The billing was straightforward with no hidden costs. We made it through the remodel without the usual stress or marriage-testing moments that come with major construction. I’ve recommended G Family to friends based on the tile work alone, but the whole experience was solid from start to finish.????????????????

Working with Jon and the G family team on our remodel was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Jon worked with me on my budget and his crew got the job done sooner than expected. We are thrilled with the outcome. Throughout the process, Jon and his team were highly organized. Every conversation was noted and summarized via email.
