In the spring of 2024, I solicited bids from three contractors, including Pierre Thibault, owner of FAC Construction, for a project involving an attached double garage and a three-season sunroom. I accepted Mr. Thibault's offer that same spring, with a promise to begin construction in October 2024. His price was slightly lower than the other two, and he seemed to have more experience with sunrooms. Throughout the summer, communication with Mr. Thibault was very difficult. In September 2024, two weeks before excavation was scheduled to begin, Mr. Thibault emailed me the contract to sign, along with a new quote. To my great surprise, the new quote was $77,000 higher for the exact same work. Mr. Thibault explained over the phone that there had been an alleged oversight in the previous quote… in short, a flimsy excuse. I had to cancel the construction, which was supposed to start two weeks later. My trust in Mr. Thibault and FAC Construction is completely gone. Contractor to be avoided at all costs!
