Reviews frequently mention crews arriving early, working efficiently, and leaving the area clean. Several customers highlight fair or reasonable pricing and that quoted amounts were honored later in the season. Feedback also notes effective results on sidewalks and driveways, including improved drainage and reduced trip hazards. A smaller number of comments cite instances where customers were asked to apply a sealant themselves after the lift.
These folks quoted a job for our sunken driveway and for fixing a foundation crack back in October, 2023. In April, 2024, when the work could be done (due to a need for warm weather for this type of work), they honored their quote, arrived early for the job, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very satisfied, and the price charged was reasonable.
I contacted Slabjackers for them to come and raise my driveway and sidewalk. We set a time for them to come out on September 2. After they finished I was told that I needed to purchase another product and put the product on myself. They gave me a picture of the product and stated it was only available at one store in Springfield. I purchased the self-leveling sealant. I was told that it ‘wouldn’t take much ‘ to cover it. I bought four tubes. That only finished up the sidewalk and the holes that were made. I went back to Lowe’s to buy more product and accidentally bought the wrong kind. When I returned it to Lowe’s to purchase the correct type of sealant they were out at both stores. I ordered online and then was told that they couldn’t fill the order. I then had to make now three trips to Jacksonville to get enough sealant because even though the product says it will cover 12 linear feet The depth of the area was 3 inches so apparently two tubes only cover 24 feet. So in total I’ve spent now $200 on product over $20 in gas going back-and-forth and the labor costs of will be over $150 because I can’t do it myself. I have a paralyzed left hand and my right hand has carpal tunnel. Slabjackers was not willing to come back the next day and do this service and apparently they don’t do it for anyone but it’s not listed anywhere on the website. I did call them because they did not put silica sand in several areas. They told me where I could purchase this out by the airport In a 50 pound bag that was like $13. I was able to find it at Menards for $6. They were not willing to come by and give me a cup of the sand. When the man told me I had to buy the sealant and he said not very much I thought I was buying plenty when l bought 4. All together I will need around 20. This has been an ongoing project because it’s hard to find help. I would never refer anyone here.
Needed some sidewalks graded to shed water away from the house. They ended up doing more than originally scoped just in order to make all sidewalks level. I had one in the back that I had not originally asked for. They bid it and preformed the work that same day. Very respectful crew that arrived early and cleaned up the work area. Just called them again for some work on my walk out patio slab.
I recently hired Slab-Jackers Construction to adjust and level the floor supports at my house. There was a sag in the flooring, as well as a visible separation between the wall and ceiling in the living room. I also had a crack in the drywall in my bedroom, and a couple doors that were out of alignment. They leveled the supports and corrected all the issues in a few hours. They were very professional and helpful in explaining what corrective measures they took. I highly recommend their services.
We used Slab-Jackers every time we've needed to have sidewalks repaired. They drill a few holes, pump in some concrete, and no more tripping hazard. The job is fast too, they are in and gone pretty quickly, with minimal mess, and they clean up after themselves. The fixes seem to last: I don't believe the pads with their repairs have sunk any further.Nice folks, reasonable rates, especially when comparing repair to replacement cost.
