Wonderful experience. They came out on short notice to evaluate some crumbling concrete steps, we decided to rip it out and replace with a custom poured steps. I was on a short turn around and they were out the same week, job done in 1 day. Steps look great! Communication, quality of work, responsiveness all top notch. Highly recommend.
Recently had a 10/10 experience with Mortar City Masonry! I needed a chimney rebuilt and had no clue what that process even entailed. Luckily I submitted an inquiry w/ Mortar City & was able to work with Dylan; he showed up on time, walked the property with me, spent time answering all my questions, and provided me w/ a zero-pressure estimate on the spot. Everything was priced fairly so I accepted the project on Friday afternoon and had a new chimney on Monday - wow! It was a quick turn-time so I'm thankful Dylan spent extra time w/ me (over the weekend!) since this was my first chimney project, which landed me a perfect result. The following day I met at the house w/ Mike; he also patiently answered any last questions I had on the project and made sure I was happy w/ the result. Thanks again guys, I appreciate it!
My husband and I had an emergent chimney situation over the holiday season and Mortar City Masonry was fantastic. They worked with us to get someone out for a consultation the same day we called, even on New Years Day and had our chimney fixed within two days after that. They even lent us a space heater to use while we were waiting for the work to be completed. They did a great job and we’re very happy we chose to work with them! Very prompt and thorough!
If only every project would go as smoothly as this! We called many masonry contractors and most didn’t even bother to call us back. Mike was extremely responsive, came out to give us a quote (a very reasonable one) and then didn’t hound us after that. A few weeks went by before we were ready to have our chimney repaired, and when I called Mike get something scheduled, he was able to have his team come out within a week to get it done.His crew was very respectful, they did an awesome job and were very quick, and they were able to provide me photos of the work up close so I didn’t need to climb up there and check it out myself.Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a smoother experience all around. After dealing with plenty of terrible contractors over the years, it’s just really refreshing to have an overall great experience, even for something as silly as a chimney repair.
We were very impressed with this company from the beginning to the end. We originally met them at the Home Show earlier this year. They booked an appointment and came out very quickly to give an estimate. Scott showed up on time in their impressive company truck. Scott was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Follow up was quick. Estimate was comparable to another vendor. We signed with them and work began in April. The job was done in 5 days. The crew showed up on time every day and was respectful of the property. Very hard working and did an amazing job. Great job cleaning up. Jeff the project manager was quick to respond. We are very happy with the outcome. We received many compliments from the neighbors and family. Definitely would recommend this company.
