Sean is a beauty! Very kind and laid back personality. I haven’t hired him for a job yet but his character checks out, which is very important to me. Hope I get a chance to work with him soon! If you need someone for your masonry needs in Victoria or the surrounding areas, I suggest you reach out!
My chimney needed repair due to a leak in the ceiling, I contacted two large local companies and both said I'd need to replace the chimney at $8,000. A friend who works with heritage homes suggested Lennox Masonry and they said it just needed repointing and a new cap. They were prompt in responding to my inquiries and honoured the quote provided at the end of the year (due to weather the job had to wait until Spring). The team came out, set up scaffolding and had the job completed in a day. Highly recommend them!
Sean and his team were friendly, professional and did a great job restoring one of our 110 year old chimneys and removing the other. They offered various ways we could save money, and appreciated that we wanted to keep things looking as original as possible. They kept in good communication throughout the project and the original quote was thorough, so there were no surprises later. Would definitely hire them again for future masonry projects.
Last year we purchased a home that turned out to have quite a few hidden problems. We moved in in May but didn't discover a problem with our gas fireplace until we tried to use it in October. It had so many issues that we needed to replace it. But when the fireplace installer went to run the exhaust for the new insert, he discovered that someone had removed the top of the original brick chimney and replaced it with a wooden frame. This may or may not have been to code many decades ago when the first insert was installed, but it was definitely not to code now. So suddenly, as winter was approaching, we needed to find someone to rebuild a chimney for us. I called 5 different companies, 3 of which got back to me. One of the quotes was extremely high, largely because he said he would need to deconstruct a portion of our new roof; one was basically a handwave and "I can't really quote on any surprises we might find"; and the third was Lennox. Sean's quote was clear and reasonable, he said he could likely do the work without disturbing the roof, he answered my many questions with patience and clarity, and he worked seamlessly with the fireplace installer and the roofing company. He completed the job quickly and did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site. And when the roofer was here finishing up the flashing, he said that this was the best chimney rebuild he'd seen in years -- no damage to the roof, and the only thing he needed to do was replace a small amount of flashing. Overall, we had an absolutely stellar experience with Lennox Masonry and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Thanks, Sean!
