Did you know that a badly deteriorated chimney can act like a candle wick and draw water into your home? After speaking with trusted roofers, I now know that was my problem, “Your roof is fine, but you need a mason to sort out your old chimney.” Orca Masonry was suggested and as they had done some visually appealing work in our neighborhood recently, we reached out to them for consultation on options. Our chimney was badly deteriorated to the point it needed to be rebuilt from the roofline up. The work completed by Orca Masonry is top-notch, their project management was professional and reassuring. But I must add that the onsite crew, Arlo & Skyler, were more than just competent and professional, they were also a pleasure to have around. Friendly, polite and cheerful. For me, that tells me that the operation as a whole is running smoothly. An excellent sign and so we, very satisfied customers, will be recommending Cory and his team to our neighbours (yes, they are already asking us).
Working with Cory and the Orca team to rebuild our chimney was a pleasure. They were incredibly responsive, and were flexible to make our quote and timeline work on very short notice to partner with the company doing our roof who recommended Orca directly. While on site, the crew was pleasant and respectful. They left our home and driveway clean and organized every night when they left. When there was one hiccup with our order, Cory took ownership, communicated clearly, and was quick to make things right by talking through options and agreeing to a resolution. My first contact was with 'Makyah,' who demonstrated unique talent as an ambassador, attentive, careful and thorough, making himself available to answer questions with clarity throughout the process. The estimate was competitive. Later, when 'Arlo' and his team arrived to begin their work, they showed up early and went straight to it like the professionals they are. I will even go so far as to call them artists, taking pride in their work. Whoever looks after recruitment for Orca deserves their own accolade. I particularly appreciate the willingness of the team to deliver 'that little bit extra' and to provide additional insight and share their own observations about things that I want to know as a responsible home owner, things that I appreciate more in retrospect as I move forward with my To Do list. I had Orca Masonry complete a very challenging rock wall project. Their guys were always on time, respectful and worked very hard. Cory was up front with everything and very punctual.
