This is the third time we hired JD construction for all of our stone/masonry work and let me tell you they NEVER disappoint! This time around was the same concept with expanding a driveway to fit an extra vehicle and the pavered driveway with retaining walls, however, instead of retaining blocks for the retaining walls we opted to go with natural stone. What I love about JD is at first they told us it was going to be difficult and possibly not an available option to do natural stone retaining walls but they never gave up and a week later reached out to us and told us it was doable. The natural stone came out absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures they showed us examples of and just looks stunning! Work started the day after we signed the contract and agreement and each and every day both the owners Tom and James were always on site for long periods of time supervising their work to be done. Their workers are hard workers, that don’t cut corners and gets the job done right. One of our previous jobs from JD construction, one of our retaining block was cracked, not fully broken or anything, yet one of their workers still went out of their way to remove the block and replace it even though it wasn’t in the designated area of work to be done by JD. They even did a small design around our clean out drain cover that’s in the center of our driveway. It’s the small details that always makes a big difference. Save yourself the time, hassle, and effort trying to find good masonist or stone work workers and just simply call JD construction for all of your masonry work!
We hired JD Construction to replace failing and dangerous retaining walls, stairs and walkways at our 40 year old home. Crews began work the day following signed agreement and worked continuously until the job was completed. The work was expert and closely supervised by JD management.My wife and I were more than happy with the results and would be pleased to rehire this contractor again.
From our first phone call to completion of the project—a new sidewalk leading to a new front porch and the restoration of a stone wall along our driveway—the management of JD Construction listened to our ideas, suggested much welcomed improvements to those ideas, and were on-site every day to make sure everything was going well and to answer any questions we might have. The talented crew they employ has been with them for years and worked hard and completed the job on time. The mason who cut and fit together the puzzle that became the walk you can see in the photograph was a superior craftsman. We highly recommend JD Construction.
Owner James came out to give us a quote to rip out and replace front steps. He quoted us and once we accepted the crew was out within the next two days to complete the job. My stairs were done within two days and they came out beautifully and sturdy. The blue stone they used complimented my home nicely. The crew was efficient and clean. They left no mess and were very considerate.
My Mother-in-law met with James to get a quote for removing and replacing an old patio and steps. The job was done with the materials and processes as quoted. Great crew too! She was so happy with the job, JD Construction and her new patio and steps, they did a great job.
