We have used Vedder Electricians for several projects at our Dexter residence. Every project has been a 5 star result. We had an emergency last week with a ceiling fan, the switch and the receiver. “Lou” in the office was very helpful in the scheduling and Kevin the electrician is a real pro. I highly recommend Vedders!
Richard and Mike from Vedder came to my condo to update and relocate the electrical panel for the sump pump. They were outstanding -- polite, efficient, punctual, and they used foot coverings every time they had to come into my home. I highly recommend them!
They did some work a while back installing a portable generator hookup, upgraded circuit breaker, a line to our garage, and a bathroom fan. The installer, Matt was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I feel like I put my home in the right hands with this crew.
5/28/24 Update: I have updated my review from 1 to 3 stars. I kept it at 3 stars because of my initial issues with communication and clean up. But have increased it from 1 to 3 because of Steve's response and the fact that the hole that is not up to code was not created by Vedder Electric.I met with Steve this morning and we had a positive and productive conversation. He explained that the disconnected hookup was completed, but had been poorly explained to me when I received my quote and that misunderstanding was never clarified when I email Matt about my concerns in May of 2021.He apologized for the lack of communication, the poor communication during the quote, and the poor clean up after the work is done. He also looked at the holes in the beams and the only hole that is not up to code was done by a private contractor and NOT Vedder Electric. This is all to say that the work I was quoted for was done and all work was done up to code. So, they do good work!I hope that with Steve in his current role that communication with the costumers will be improved and that they will use this review as an opportunity to remind their staff in the field to leave their work space clean and safe._______________________________________________________________I had work done by Vedder in 2021. I was unhappy with the results at the time, but I let it slide. That was until last week when I found out they have screwed holes in the main beam of our home, and now I need to speak up.When we received our initial quote, they quoted for a more expensive hook up for the A/C saying it was required. When the work was done they did not do what was quoted, but didn’t refund the overpayment. Again, I let that slide. When they worked on the home they left an absolute mess. Here is a quote from an email I sent them after they left. “Over the past few days I have found insulation that was cut and left on the floor, broken light bulb on my work bench, and lots of lose wire and melt all scrapes both inside and outside of the home.” They have never responded to the email but, again, I let it slide. However, now that I know they have done damage to the beam that supports the entire structure of my house, over charged me, and left dangerous materials around my home, I am speaking up.I have no idea how they have such overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I hope this review will provide a more wholistic picture of they work they do.
I had Matt as my electrician yesterday. I have an older house so was a bit concerned whether my issues could be resolved. I was super impressed with his knowledge and efficiency. He got all my issues fully resolved. I would definitely recommend him and the company to my friends and family!
