In March 2024, I hired Mr. Halbach to install a variable speed Panasonic exhaust fan in my powder room. After he completed the installation, he told me that the fan was not drawing, because the exhaust line was blocked and that he would come back and fix that. I never heard from him again. Recently, I sent him a text requesting his services to unblock the line. He got back to me and told me it would take about five weeks before he could get to my house. After that, I hired another electrician. The new electrician took the fan down and realized that it was improperly installed. The fan has a 4 inch exhaust opening and it reduces to a 3 inch exhaust line. There is a flapper in the fan. However, because of the way it was installed. The flapper was blocked from opening by the 3 inch line. The new electrician removed the flapper. He tested the draw, everything worked fine. There is a flapper on the exhaust line where it terminates outside the house, so the flapper in the fan was not necessary. My experience with Mr. Halbach left a lot to be desired. Apart from this issue, he was difficult to get in touch with, somewhat arrogant, and seemed like he wanted to leave as soon as possible to get to another job. This was very unprofessional, and I cannot recommend him.
Edgar is a fantastic electrician! He is a very laid back guy who thinks complicated things through (you can see his brain working). I have an old French quarter ceiling fan (one of two, that match) that worked with a remote. Hunter Fan Company doesn’t make this model anymore. It stopped working and I could not even use the pull chain. This fan was a bear to install. To repair it, you have to remove the entire heavy base from the ceiling. The remote could not be replaced and I did not want to replace the fan. Edgar immediately knew exactly what was wrong with it. It required a new switch. Since there was no remote replacement, I could not use the dimmer for the lights anymore. It would be just the one bright light. I was still able to use the 3 speeds for the fan, and use the 2 pull chains to operate the fan. I had the chains lengthened (because I’m short) and added an amber pendant. I’m very happy I was able to keep my fan. Edgar had to pull the base down and discovered the screws were stripped. Not a problem for him. He fixed everything perfectly and charged me a fair price. I wholeheartedly recommend him and would hire him again and again. Also, he is a really nice guy.
The work was done in a timely and professional manner. Edgar was courteous and was happy to assist me with other questions. He was more than fair and I look forward to working with him again on future projects!Description of Work: bonus room wired, recessed lights installed, closet lighting installed, renovated a bathroom, hung multiple tvs and fans. Also synchronized outdoor lighting and offered suggestion on how to better light areas very professional.
Anthony did an estimate for my kitchen remodel, working around my budget, my schedule and changes. Not only did he finish the job with a quick turnaround time, he walked me through ALL the changes and fixes he had done to my home that was built in the 50s. Explained the planning and how he left the wiring and panel ready for any future additions! Great experience and great business! I’ll trust Anthony again with all my electrical needs in the future and always recommend him. Well done sir
Anthony came out and did some great work in my office and at my house when I underestimated how difficult changing out some lights may be! He showed up on time, figured out what to do, and didn’t leave until the work was done! Highly recommend and glad I have a go-to reliable electrician for any future projects!
