Jared Garner was the technician from Rack Electric to perform our maintenance inspection for our whole house generator. He was efficient, organized and appeared knowledgeable in all aspects. He was also extremely kind and considerate giving attention to our elderly 14 1/2 year-old chocolate lab Spenser and guarding as he went through our yard gates to protect our dog! Great Job! I use to use a different company to maintain our generator; they were horrible. Everything was a hassle. We switched to Rack Electric and it is SO much better.They schedules repairs quickly, are always polite and I have an assigned technician, so I don’t have to waste time catching up someone new each time. My technician, Wayne Whyte is great. He is pleasant, on time and most importantly, knows what he’s doing, and gets it done quickly. I certainly would recommend him!
It has been over a year from when I had my install. I will start with the bad first. It seems when they did the roof inspection, they identified that my flat roof was not in a condition to install the panels. No one showed me this report or even informed me of this. Yet they moved forward with the install and permits. On the day of the install, 4-5 months later, their installers made videos showing that they felt the roof was not in a condition to install on. They sent me videos of them ripping the paper off my flat roof, I assume they thought it was a good idea to make the condition worst then it already was. They informed me that I needed to act on this asap cause any delay on the install would result in fees I would when to cover. Then it rained two days later and I had water pouring into my home. This was not an issue prior to them getting in my roof and ripping paper up. I had to pay a company an emergency fee to do my flat roof. Rack reps told me that would be reimbursed for this cause they caused the damage. I never got anything from the company. In fact they never even apologized for never showing me the report they had months earlier, that would have at least prepared me for this expense. I spoke to one owner for a brief time. He assured me he would call me back and to date I have not received a call. I truly am disappointed in the way they conducted their business and preformed on my home. I also found out that they don’t follow the sugars for the install correctly. I had to bring this to their attention also. So if I didn’t tell them about the wrongfully install items they would have left it like that. Now I have cracked ceiling in my home and a ceiling that’s about to fall in my back patio. I also have damaged floors inside and walls. On a good note I do like solar and think the program is great, I just wish I had a better and more honest company that did my install.
