Overall, themes include responsiveness from staff and variability in outcomes on warranty jobs.
Chris was dispatched through AHS to fix an outlet for a heating cable. It was a minor but difficult to solve issue and he stayed until he figured it out. This is the second AHS request I've had assigned to AJ Moore Electric and I've been happy with both technicians. The office staff was also very helpful in providing an updated arrival time so I could coordinate better with my work schedule
Mike did a quick and professional job when laying cable in the trench. Thanks again!
If this company is assigned by a home warranty company, don’t bother. The tech told my wife as he’s standing in the doorway, without looking at anything, that our claim would be denied as it won’t be covered. We had 5 items on the claim, ranging from an outlet, exhaust fan, and tripping breakers and they were all denied based on the write up provided to the warranty company.Sounds like they come in with a predetermined outcome, word the claim in a way it’ll get denied, and run away with the service charge without doing any actual work. For context, this is our 8th claim to HSA and the first one to be denied. With multiple items and not even one was covered? Most contractors have been helpful in getting what we needed done under the coverage, but not this company. Don’t waste your $100.
We had AJ Moore replace our old fusebox. Immediately after, we started getting arc faults. Circuits tripping 2-3 times a day. More if we used a hair dryer in the bathroom or had too many things plugged in.A year of this later, we used our home warranty to have another electrician come out. But they sent someone from AJ Moore again! This time the electrician said "Oh, you have those Seimens breakers. Those are really sensitive to arc faults. We don't install those anymore." Well gee, guess we should ask the idiot who installed them--oh, it was you guys! Finally, after 5 years of this, we have an electrician from another company out today. One big reason for the arc faults: AJ Moore's guy NICKED THE HOT LINE to one of the breakers! Exposed wire just sitting behind the panel. We are now paying nearly as much as the original install to get it done properly. Do not trust these jokers.
