Duke Electric came out on a Sunday even though it was not urgent. This is the only electrician that I have saved in my phone. They have been out 3 or 4 times and always go above and beyond.
Above and beyond-Came to my residence for an estimate. The owner of the company was very honest, kind, and did some troubleshooting to see the problematic area. Did it for free and turns out to be the compressor on AC unit. All electrical was fine. Thank you for your time and honest analysis.

This is a tale of two techs. On Wednesday, I’d called an electrical repair company (whose name I won’t mention) because a secondary circuit in my home had gone AWOL, leaving much of my house in the dark. The electrician from that first company was friendly. He spent about 5 minutes determining that my breakers were not the culprit. Then he spent the next two hours describing all the horrible and expensive consequences if I did not replace all the breakers, rehab the electrical panel and rewire the house for around $8,000. At the end of that upselling conversation, he announced that he did not have time to locate the faulty outlet, but that he would return the following week to repair the problem. He provided an offhand estimate of $400.After he left, I called Duke Electric. They promised to have a tech arrive at my doorstep at my preferred time…9:30am the following day. Precisely at 9:30, Darryn, from Duke Electric, greeted me. I described the issue and thereafter, it took him the better part of 15 seconds to identify the faulty outlet responsible for my electrical woes. It required less than ten minutes to repair the outlet with equipment he had on hand. The entire bill was $175.I, then, telephoned the company I’d initially contacted to cancel that next week’s appointment. They charged $89. for the prior day’s visit.Wednesday was the worst of days. Thursday was the best of days.
