They are scammers. I called for a quote because a GFI outlet wasn't working. The guy came here checked my electric meter and told me to call penelec. Handed me a bill for a $135 service call.
Called this morning and left message with receptionist. 3 hours later I got a call and scheduled an appointment for 2:30. It’s now almost 5:00. No show, no call to reschedule. And I need work done now! I’m dealing with a fire hazard and my safety is at risk. Thanks guyUpdate: Got a call shortly after 5:00 with an explanation & promise to call tomorrow.Update: They called as promised and stopped over same day for a quote. Quote seemed reasonable for a new main breaker box, service upgrade, outside cutoff, and new supply line & ground stake. I authorized work, paid a down payment, and scheduled work for upcoming Monday @ 9:00am.Update: The guys arrived shortly after 9:00 am to start work. They informed me of when the power was getting shut off and got to work. About 4.5 hours later and power back on. Everything looks good and no more power problems.Update: One of my lights wouldn’t turn on so I looked to see why. There was a threaded tip from the outside box install protruding from the wall. Further inspection revealed 6 total tips protruding from the wall in a line. I haven’t called to see if they’ll fix it. I just want the tips cut off so my wall is flat again. Don’t even need the holes fixed. We’ll see what they say.
The guy named Jerry came to check out my old recliner! Since the motor was not working, he took out all the electrical parts and now my recliner is fine! Thanks so much! Nice people great prices!!
I called Dobrich Electric and Joe showed up at my house within 15 minutes. I needed a new breaker panel box and they replaced it the following day. Guys did a great job, they were very professional and affordable! I would highly recomment Dobrich Electric!
I had another electrician who was very nice and answered all my questions scheduled when Dobrich called the next day and offered to put in a new breaker box for a lower price. I was apprehensive with the quote and the other guy was really nice. After a back and forth I took the better deal, which ended up in a snowball effect of issues. The breaker box was great, don't get me wrong they did the job good despite it being in a closet and a nightmare. The room was a mess afterwards. They drilled 2 holes in the front of our house which I assume they were going to use to ground the water main. They went another route and never used either drill hole, but also did not plug them, which would have allowed mice in the house. A week later I noticed the brick foundation was wet and my carpet downstairs also. One of the drill holes went into the pipe for the outside spicket. Because the spicket was turned off it was a slow leak. I then called a plumber to fix the pipe. Afterwards I notified Dobrich. Who called back 2 days later. At first they argued about it being their fault, then said if we had called them first he would have fixed the pipe for a fraction of the cost. Who would think to call a electrician for plumbing? They refused to pay the plumbing, but said they would fix the drywall. They were 6 hours late for that. First they said they would be there at 8:00 am. When we called at 10:00 to find out when they would be there, they said after lunch. They didn't arrive until after 2:00 pm.Moral of the story, "you get what you pay for." I should have just stuck with the other guy. All together it ended up costing us almost as much.
