I recently had an electrical issue at my home and was cautious about calling a different company I used in the past, as I didn't have much trust in their services. The other company has a bad rap in Erie. Even Erie Insurance doesn't like them. Instead, I sought advice from friends in the Erie area, and both highly recommended Shalkham Electric. They had great experiences, so I decided to give them a try.

I called their office and spoke with what seemed to be the owner. It was the boss in the office. :) An employee named Jay arrived at my home as scheduled, and I was impressed by his politeness and deep knowledge. He fixed the issue within an hour, which I was very grateful for. While I felt that the service charge was somewhat on the pricey side, having the outlet fixed was essential.

One suggestion I have is to add more payment options on their website to allow credit card transactions, as it would be more convenient than only using a checking account. Integrating payment systems like Intuit QuickBooks would be beneficial for customers to use credit cards.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service I received and will definitely reach out to them again for any future electrical problems. A heartfelt thank you to Matt, the owner, for his excellent customer service. If you're facing electrical issues, you can trust that Shalkham Electric will get the job done right.

We went with Matthew for our generator and are so happy we did. From initial consult to installation was remarkably quick. The crew was friendly and professional, and they got most of the work done, incredibly, in a single day. That included a new electruc box outside.

Can't recommend them enough!

Our power went out on a weekend and Shalkham Electric was the first to respond when I called. Matthew came over and inspected the issue. Our electrical panel was taking in water from outside and ruined the main breaker. He gave a couple of options and recommended the safest course which was a total panel replacement. We were actually surprised at how fair the price was. Matthew also went out of his way to get us a generator so that we had power for the weekend until the panel could be replaced. The crew showed up first thing Monday morning and power was restored almost right after lunchtime. This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor! Definitely recommending them to whoever needs electrical work done!

But then we found Shalkham electric and they were able to send 2 guys to our house and they fixed the problem very quickly and efficiently. I had multiple electricians come out to give me an estimate to replace/upgrade my electric service from the 70’s. Matt was extremely personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. His quote was cheaper than competitors for a larger electrical panel. I sent Matt a text in the morning wanting to schedule and he had electricians at my house within 2 hours. Johnny & Ezra were just as friendly and knowledgeable as Matt. They did a great job and cleaned up despite being here later than anticipated on a Friday. Overall, they provided wonderful service, workmanship, and quality for great price. Highly recommend Shalkham Electric & Construction Co. for all your home needs!
