I would recommend them to everyone, they went above and beyond for my needs. I had them install recess lights and fans in each room. Their estimates/ pricing were reasonable. Bates Electric did a great job with the installation of my Tesla Universal Wall Connector!(I purchased a Tesla Universal Wall Connector from Amazon because I have two EVs (Tesla Y Long Range 2021 and a Hyundai Kona Electric SE 2023) and they have different charging connectors).C. Bates Electric gave a fair price for the labor and the permit. Installation of a level 2 charger is not cheap, but C. Bates Electric actually beat all of the bids of the other contractors who service Pinole/Hercules/Rodeo.Timing. Because of the permit process, it took about 2 weeks before C. Bates Electric could schedule the appointment, and then we decided to schedule the installation the week after.On Wednesday, January 28th, Juve did the install and Carlos (the owner) supervised him for about 30 minutes. Then Carlos departed to another appointment, and Juve finished the job in less than an hour. Both Carlos and Juve were friendly and happy to have a conversation.Juve installed a 60 amp circuit, directly to my main electrical panel. The Tesla Universal Wall Connector installation was on the inside wall of my garage, just on the other side of the main electrical panel, which is located on the outside wall of the garage. The charger accesses 80% of the circuit or 48 amps. My Tesla Y charges at 45 miles per hour, while the Hyundai gets about 25 miles per hour. The Hyundai Kona is known to have slower charging speeds.FYI... the electrical inspector from Contra Costa County came by today, on Tuesday, February 3rd, and approved the installation. Although the inspector came today, I was able to use the charger since the installation last week.I highly recommend C. Bates Electric to anyone looking to install a Tesla Universal Wall Connector!
